I liked the concept, but they have a long way to go to claim they help with mental health. Once we signed up, they wanted to charge us more for specialization. Not cool. I feel misled. Nice sales people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel like I was misled. I asked several times if this would work for mental health. This is not a program that works for peer-run programs. Then refused to refund us as a non-profit because we were 3 days late with our notice after the account manager told us to wait. We would have canceled at the beginning of August, but Shelby said Wait. Non-profit work took us away from it for a little while. It's not recovery-focused, it is treatment-focused. Really good for Hunter and Shelby. Not so good for the non-profit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I am a start up Sober Living Housing owner; I purchased One Step for the ease of use, tracking ability and accountability it provides to my residents. The app on the phone is also easy to use. The more I use the software the more I am happy I made the choice to purchase One Step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing is wrong at this time. The software is very easy to use. Everything works well. The videos were informative. I'd like to have it integrate to Quickbooks, but I was told that was coming in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has replaced our paperwork we had participants hand in each week, we can track where they are going with their appointments and has reduced everything to one app Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Customer support response time, professionalism, and feeling like the little guy matters. The UI is top-notch and is becoming more so all the time through updates that are completed through customer feedback, which makes for a pretty streamlined workflow. A very professional and impressive looking platform. All of the interactions I have had with every staff member, all the way to the ownership has been very pleasant and professional. The fees are reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No content customization/branding options for invoices emailed to residents via the payment module. Because of this limitation I still use Boomerang to email recurring notifications of rent due and invoices.
There seem to be minor occurrences/bugs in the payment module, i.e.:
* When you create a recurring invoice where the first payment is due that same day, the "first due date" will show the next day, instead of the current day.
* The "available funds" are not represented in the "balance owed" column on the payment module screen. This may be a lag time of my UI - to - One Step's server issue, and I haven't paid %100 attention to it, but it does exist.
It would be nice if upon entering the "other" tab within the client module, if the clients were auto-sorted starting with the most recent "created date" first, instead of what seems to happen is they are auto-sorted mostly by the category they are labeled with. It adds a step to the workflow of trying to locate the brand new applicants.
I want to be able to attach .pdf's, .doc's, etc. to client profiles and also be able to load .pdf's/.doc's into "Forms", not just One Step forms. We have .doc's/.pdf's that our management uses. As of now, managers have to continue to access Google Drive to pull operational docs to print and post; things like chore lists that residents sign-off on, community or informational postings, etc. It would also be nice to be able to sort "Forms" in a static manner/group them into the order I want for workflow/intake efficiency, maybe even into their own sub-categories, we have "move-in documents", "housing operational documents" etc.
I want to be able to use One Step as a sort of CRM database for networking and contacts where I can create company/organization profiles and attach employees to them, attach notes of communication, etc. Integration with Gmail would be amazing as well. I currently use Insightly for this.
I have been told that One Step will one day be looking at the possibility of a complete in-house accounting platform and/or integration with something like QuickBooks, and I am really excited about that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
