Oh, Octopart, you’re a real time-saver, aren’t you? Instead of wasting hours scrolling through endless parts lists and chasing down datasheets, I just type in what I need and—voilà!—it’s all there in seconds. How impressive that you can pull up stock info and specs so quickly. It’s almost like you understand that my time is valuable and decided to make my life a little easier. Thanks for saving me from the tedious stuff and letting me focus on actually getting things done.

Octopart’s website can feel a bit clunky and outdated, making navigation less smooth than it could be. The interface sometimes adds unnecessary friction to finding components. Still, these minor annoyances are a small price to pay for the site’s overall usefulness in quickly locating parts and specs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Octopart has been incredibly useful to me as an electrical engineer; it's been a great resource to understand what the supply chain status is of different components, and how I can easily obtain whatever parts I need at any time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There really isn't much that I dislike about Octopart; sometimes using the search/filtering options on the site is a little tricky, but typically I search for parts on Mouser or Digikey instead, so that's not a huge problem. I'm mostly using Octopart to check which suppliers have inventory of the parts that I'm looking for, not for the initial part search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is very fast to find a part number of an electronic component, and all the relevant information: stock in distributors, datasheet, price... Also, it can be used together with Altium Designer, to automatically check the availability an priced of a bill of materials of an electronic product. There is nothing I dislike, I would add extra functionalities maybe, like standard fields to compare similar components and use it to find alternative part numbers when there is an obsolete one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
