"Netbeans, a good Java IDE, but for others, poor"
I like two things mainly, the way you can create GUIs, and the way it works for Java, is my main IDE when I'm working with Java.

What do you like best about NetBeans?

From all other IDEs I prefer using NetBeans. People say it is old and legacy but I used to it, it does it's work good enough. Actually I use Netbeans when I work with PHP projects. So maybe it is good with the old languages not the quite new era languages or developments environments like Angular, React. I use many features of NetBeans like code completion, code templates, debugging, code upload via ftp etc. I also write HTML, Javascript codes too using NetBeans and it is pretty handy for me. I like to configure my IDE and editors my way, especially code templates and shortcuts then I can work productive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetBeans?

NetBeans becomes slow sometimes when opening the projects because of it's indexing process. It frustrates me. But I face this kind of slowness even with the latest, best IDE IntelliJ too. IDEs are always huge and bunch of processes required to run in the background. So for small or front-end javascript projects I prefer to use editors like VSCode. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:

It is good and very stable IDE with big community and long history. There are also good plugins too if you want to extend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is reliable and I used to it so I can be productive. I find it very handy when I working with big PHP frameworks. It gives me whole information about structure, creation, origin of the objects and classes. It is the best part of the IDE. NetBeans does this very good and fast. What do you like best about NetBeans?

Netbeans in a programming environment for Java very complete. It is very versatile, with it you can program almost any type of application. It provides tools for the reuse of programmed modules. It has a good support for Php. Once we become familiar with its graphical interface, the work becomes very fluid. Update it is very simple. Another of the things I like about Netbeans are the templates it provides. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetBeans?

At the beginning it is very complicated to work with him. Its graphical interface is a little intimidating when installing. However as I went using it all the work flowed faster. Another thing that I do not like about Netbeans is that as it is updated it uses a lot of computer resources, however it is necessary to be clear that for the development of applications a team with good characteristics is needed. But in each update of the application the use of resources is greater. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering NetBeans:

Netbeans is a very complete software to develop applications in Java. With a computer with good resources, it works smoothly. If you do not have experience in Netbeans, there is a lot of documentation and material to check on the official websites and on the internet. It is an incredible software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?

In my work there are small repetitive tasks that were done manually. With the development of small computer programs, these tasks are performed faster. We chose Netbeans for being one of the most complete development environments in Java, and we thought it was great. And the programs we have done under this platform saves us a lot of valuable time. What do you like best about NetBeans?

NetBeans facilitates us to develop GUIs very easily without much knowledge about any programming languages. And also, it provides us with a slide bar in which we can access saved files and projects quickly. Furthermore, it provides suggestions for us when coding the projects. It saves time. With just press tab it auto-completes our code, we only need to write a few, and it provides more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about NetBeans?

The main weakness of this IDE is, it takes a lot of time to load on our PC. And another thing is when we install it to PC, it takes huge memory space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is NetBeans solving and how is that benefiting you?

NetBeans is one of the best IDE for java-based developments and apart from that it also supports PHP, C, C++, HTML etc. I have been using the 8.2 Version of it mainly for java-based developments. I have a positive experience with it because it is very user-friendly and easy to use for anyone. It provides suggestions for us when coding the projects. It saves time.
