NetBeans is the perfect application for software development. Firstly because it is cross platform which allows all your team to develop through the same software whether you are working on Windows, Linux or Mac OS. It is also a free application which brings added value to the financial choice of the company. It has an appealing and easy-to-work look. It has a huge community to discuss small bugs that sometimes still have to be fixed. It always supports the latest Java versions and here is is this application excels in Java development. It is a comprehensive IDE that has multiple languages built-in and supports the latest Java 8 version. It is available is many platforms and has keyboard shortcuts which allow faster access to tools and features. I love the auto complete feature which makes it easy to use. One big problem with Netbeans is it takes too much time to load all the modules and run the programs. Sometimes it also freezes and doesn't allow me to close or quit the application. Also, it is a bummer that it doesn't allow android application development. However there are other good development applications for android so it is not a big problem.
