Netbeans has an extremely simple interface so it's ideal for amateurs in contrast with shroud for instance.
Investigating is simple and easy to do which I believe is an awesome favorable position. The interface is something that I like the most, extremely recognizable, you discover things quick even it's your first time utilizing Netbeans.
It indicates aggregation mistakes amid the projects. Has utility for some additional items to create web administrations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its greatest con is the utilization of framework assets since it doesn't work for old PCs.
It is created for individuals who are now experts and not novices in light of the fact that the expectation to absorb information is wide. Doesn't deal with various screen goals well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It seems to me that it is one of the most complete IDEs that can be found today. It has a multitude of plugins that assist you on a daily basis. The interface is very clear and easy to use. The help it provides is unbeatable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest problem I find is when starting up. If you have several projects open, the program's loading becomes slow and heavy. This is because every time it starts, it checks the projects to find all the dependencies, and this causes the delay in startup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Incredible IDE for programming in Java perfectly and clearly shows compile errors during execution. Another thing that stands out compared to others is the debugging and execution of test cases, it has numerous options that help reduce work time. The interface and work environment is customizable to your liking, for example, in my case, I prefer to program with the dark mode instead of light. Autocomplete is another option that helps you save time, as well as keyboard shortcuts that you can easily create yourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
"Its biggest scam is the consumption of system resources, as it does not work for older computers. It is developed for people who are already professionals and not beginners because the learning curve is broad. It does not handle different monitor resolutions, so" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a very good IDE, special to program with java, however, it has the possibility to extend its functions thanks to its modules that allow it to support different programming languages, NetBeans has a very good debugger to find errors easily, besides that its Interface is very easy to use. It is a very heavy software if you add many modules, you can also run slowly if you do not have a computer with good features, it is also a free IDE, but most of its modules are expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

remote development, Netbeans is the only IDE that I can use to remote develop from windows 10 on linux machines. Full of features, debugger, ability to organize multiple project in different way. sAs the memory used by Netbeans is huge, using it directly on the server by multiple users is a bad idea (almost the same for any full-fledged IDE) but using the server only for building and hosting the projects is much more efficient and also makes remote work much fast instead of using VNC or different remote login Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unstable with some settings, some times I lose my launchers settings, remote debugging doesn't always work as expected. Ability to open multiple instances is desirable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With this.. Java programming became easy and debugging too Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It provides suggestions for the code which we are typing but I feel it as not recommended in some cases and also when too many projects are running.. It slow downs the system Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like the most is its simplicity and out of box functionality, the learning curve is significantly lower than other IDEs such as Eclipse and so allows to get in action rather quickly when starting to use for the first time.
The fact that it also comes with Glassfish and Tomcat installed and ready alongside with Git and Subversion is a huge advantage, no need for much configuration and getting a web application up and running is a rather smooth process. Also, it's free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It seems that after each release it keeps getting slower and slower, which is really unfortunate. Furthermore, code refactoring is just satisfactory, Eclipse definitely handles it better by providing more freedom and accuracy on which variables are supposed to be refactored given a selection. This IDE I use frequently as a requirement in one of the subjects that I currently teach, because it is:
Free and open source
Easy to install
Very intuitive, the student adapts very easily to this development environment.
It is very organized and allows creating console applications and graphical user interfaces in a very simple way.
When you are developing your applications, you can detect errors very quickly.
My students adapt faster to this application than to others that have the same purpose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As it progresses, the new versions need more computer requirements. However, it is really an application that offers many tools to make you program your software in a comfortable way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find NetBeans a good idea for newcomers, i like how simple is it, a clean UI and an acceptable UX. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is way too simple, you cannot really hook into many things with it, i feel there are best competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
