Very good IDE for programming Java and J2EE applications
Good IDE for Java debugging and run test cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Netbeans needs to be improved in providing plugins for developing Android and iOS mobile applications
It would be better if Netbeans could be built in a lighter version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The large project cant import by dragging to directly like small project is done we need to manually create the new project then add the files of large project in it. The look and fell is should be change for the new generation it look more professional it should be artistic also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Netbeans is a complete IDE for programming in numerous languages. I love the code completion, live error checking, debugging capabilities, jump to relevant class code, refactoring, and many other features! Editing interface is also great with a nice file navigation and class summary on the left window. I also love the global search and replace capability. Would highly recommend it!!! Netbeans is a bit slow at times but the advantages outweigh this. It needs to do a background scan of all open projects so often takes a long time to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response time is quite high and but annoying sometime when we make an option for execution of method or when we try to debug a program. Resource consumption is high.. its does not allowed the creation if diagram. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciated the UI of NetBeans above all, navigation was easy and efficient and it was easy to explain how to use it to my colleagues! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Visually it wasn't the prettiest thing to stare at but that's less important for a tool, priority is ease of use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Netbeans was always my been my favorite IDE because its flexible and expandable. Also it runs much more stable than Eclipse. Also running jRuby is a charm using Netbeans because it already runs Java under the hood. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with all java based IDEs they take a lot of system resources,. Also getting the dependencies straight is sometimes a pain in the neck Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has a large number of integrated modules although its greatest strength is oriented to the development of JAVA, It has tools that allow user interfaces to be made easily and intuitively, The option to search for errors or debug is excellent for cold runs of the different developments and to generate a test environment with accurate results Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its initial charge is a bit slow this due, it takes a long time to open to start using it, In comparison with other IDES it consumes a lot of RAM, it demands a lot of the computer, The use of advanced tools requires training, which causes the learning curve to build up and creates additional charges or the search for specialized personnel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Netbeans has everything to develop software especially when you work with java which is the programming language that you currently use. All my Java projects are developed with netbeans, for me it is a fairly complete IDE, easy to use and the one that I incorporate to handle errors is very good. And the most important thing is an open source tool for free use. Netbeans supports a large number of Java applications such as J2SE and EJB. Also work with JAVA swing is very good. Actually I do not have anything bad to say about neatbeans. For me it has been my project development tool for more than 8 years and I have not found a substitute Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can be used for different programming languages.
It is free.
You can develop dynamic web applications.
It has a large number of plugins that help you with the different tasks your project requires.
If the code is written in Java (as is often my case), the program will run on any platform.
Modules can be added and removed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For me, the biggest disadvantage is that it is not Eclipse, which I am accustomed to with its shortcuts, interface, and configuration. I worked with NetBeans on a project for a year, and after working with it for a year, it didn't convince me because I don't see the ease that Eclipse has. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
