Incredible IDE to program in JAVA shows perfectly and clearly compile errors during execution. Another thing that stands out with respect to others is the debugging and execution of test cases, has numerous options that help reduce work time. The interface and the work environment is customizable to your liking, for example in my case I prefer to program with the dark medium instead of clear. Autocompleting is another option that helps you save time, as well as keyboard shortcuts that you can easily create yourself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when you make an option, such as execute a method or debug, the program takes time to respond, which is a bit annoying. For the rest, I do not find anything negative about NetBeans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like most is the ease of use and predefined templates for projects. Easy to integrate other software with NetBeans. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's pretty heavy and consumes lots of memory in the PC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a very complete programming environment with many necessary tools, you can add very good and free add-ons, it is also ideal for programming with java, your debugger is quite good and you can configure your autocomplete depending on the programming language you use. It is an IDE that requires a great processing of your computer, and more if it is java programs, I can say that the execution of the program for the first time always takes much more if you have installed many add-ons. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It takes a while to learn for the first time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

NetBeans has multiple languages and allows you to create multiple different types of applications such as Desktop and Mobile applications. It is easy to debug, and compile code. It is extremely customizable and saves a lot of work time. I love that it is open source. The syntax checking helps extremely when debugging code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All the features make it so easy to code that when you change to a different IDE you forget how to do certain things. Many details are overlooked when using this that it doesn't help you learn the language properly. This should only be used by already experienced programmers. It provides a good set of debugging and version controls tools and is very handy for developing swing applications. Its auto-suggest feature is quite well developed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the git conflicts are harder to resolve when developing swing applications as they occur in immutable code sometimes which has to be opened up in another editor and then resolved.
Although the auto-suggest feature is well developed it loses track of suggestions if something gets mistyped. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using NetBeans to develop my Java applications from past 4 years. I like NetBeans as it is easy to use and has many integrated development modules for Java. It has the ability to debug and provide hints to optimize the code. It also has version control and many advanced tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
NetBeans takes more memory to run the applications as compared to other IDEs. Also we require some sort of training or knowledge for using its advanced tools or features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
