NetBeans takes eat up more RAM compared to other IDEs. It occasionally crashes when handling big loads. There is no backwards compatibility with the older version which is annoying. Netbeans doesn't really have a user-friendly interfance as it is quite messy and hard to adjust. So far I think Visual Studio has a better user-interface compared to netbeans. There are many things i like about net beans.It is easy to install, its free and open source, and the quick syntax error detection saved me many hours of debugging. To begin with, I consider that Beans is a very dynamic and intuitive platform for those that are generally seen in university environments.

For example, in my university it is what we use as a programming platform in the initial levels. So it is very useful and helps for new students. Especially when the majority at the beginning do not have any experience with this type of programs.
