The Netbeans platform can be used to develop any type of application.
Reuse of the Modules. Allows the use of the Update Center Module tool.
Installation and simple update. Includes Templates and Wizards.
It has support for Php. It's free!, Develop dynamic web applications, I stay with Netbeans. Currently allows you to install specific things and the debugger mode seems much more intuitive than Eclipse, which in the end, is something that you will be working on all the time. Little existence of plugins for this platform.
Rich Client Platform (RCP) documentation is required.
It does not have an HTML code editor.
Because of its slowness when executing applications (although it has improved over time)
Because without the virtual machine, its portability does not exist ?. (And if I do not have the JVM at hand?), A bad implementation of a program in java, can result in something very slow Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I recommend NetBeans because according to my experience, it is an IDE of very easy learning. This complies with many standards in terms of the languages that are used in it. For example in C and C ++ this IDE is one of the most practical and easy to use since it has many aids. For this reason NetBeans can be seen in universities at the initial level. You can also develop nabera quickly and easily: desktop, mobile and web applications.
with Java, JavaScript, HTML5, PHP, C / C ++ and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As for the things that I do not like so much about this IDE is that there are certain characteristics of PHP or HTML about programming in these languages that it does not have in comparison with other IDEs.
I also consider that the visual design is a bit generealized and old what I know they can improve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A lot of its features make NetBeans the best open source IDE! I love the support for multiple languages (Java, C++, PHP). The code autocompletion feature is great, and it's support for other plugins for testing, and modifying code according to blackbox testing techniques is pretty good too. NetBeans has a very interactive GUI, which makes it very easy to maneuver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not find anything to dislike about netbeans other than the fact that it is a little slow to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Of the things that I like the most about NetBeans is its ease of use and easy learning that characterizes it. It also serves very well to perform tests with different languages since it meets the standards in the market. That is, it has good code processing, includes good links with current operating systems.
On the other hand, NetBeans really is not an expensive software, so when looking for an IDE from which the project where it will be used will not leave many benefits to the company we can take it into account without worries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
About the features that I do not like NetBeans are: that they do not update followed by what sometimes becomes a bit tedious not being able to enjoy the best versions of some complementary systems. It does not have a great design compared to other IDE (Although the truth is not the worst).
It contains some characteristics that are a little obsolete or that already with other programs that are installed additionally we obtain it and in a more complete way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The excellent interface is quite comfortable because it has all the tools in sight and very well ordered, I can customize the font and color to my liking, another feature that I like about this IDE is the possibility of downloading add-ons that incorporate new functions and features , although the strength of Netbeans is that Java can be configured to support almost any type of programming language. By default, it is available in English and does not have more languages unless you install them manually, also when installing many add-ons it becomes slower and freezes a lot when debugging my code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The built in code analyzer and debugging environment. It makes recycling and reusing code simple.
It also supplies source maps help with JavaScript and node.js
The fact it has it's own wiki to help you if you need instructions or help doing a task. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing to dislike about Netbeans, it has been my go to IDE for everything the last 5+ years.
It does tend use a lot of your computers resources if you're loading up a huge project and slow things down.
Also the GUI could use some improvement, as it is not visually appealing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A good integrated programming environment, compatible with many programming languages, one of its strengths is the Java JDK development. I like its interface, since it has all the tools in view, it is also possible to customize it through themes, it has a library of add-ons to add more functions to the IDE, I like it a lot because it is simple and adapts to all types of projects. I do not like the default font that brings the text editor, I can also be a very complex IDE for those who are not adapted to this type of software, since it has some tools that are not easy to use if you do not have the necessary knowledge . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like most it has multiple languaged to develop projects and cross-platform. It always auto-complete the lines. when we creating UI it is easy to do we have to only drag and drop the buttons text fields and etc. very user-friendly easy to find anything. When making .jar file we can run it via command line it also an amazing thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
