an excellent tool for the development of applications based on programming languages java and php totally free with different tools such as code interpreter where it verifies the errors and indicates in which part of the code is found. also has multiple libraries and add-ons to integrate multiple programs to this tool as a database, report generators, among others. despite being an open source tool, it usually has some add-ons or libraries for some plugins or tools that are paid and must be paid for downloading it. It also tends to be slow when executing several projects at the same time, although there is little documentation about its libraries and use are efficient tools.you may need some applications of java tools. It's better for coding by using different programming languages such as C, C++ and Java. As it's an open source software it is free for any one who willing to get this Netbeans experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Appearance of the user interface is not good enough as I feel Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like the most is that it has a multi-stage language. The code that is written in java is perused by a mediator, so your program will deal with any stage. What it deciphers is essentially that the Netbeans stage can be utilized to build up an application you can reuse the modules notwithstanding permitting the utilization of the Update Center Module device incorporates layouts and Wizards and has support for Php likewise has or is straightforward establishment and update which streamlines the entire establishment it is extremely valuable. I like the cross-stage of Netbeans that permit it bolster many programming dialects like C/C++, Java, PhP and others in programming advancement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the most noticeably awful thing that NetBeans has is that is overwhelming. It needs a ton of time to instate and here and there is moderate code with it since it requires long investment to demonstrate the anticipate the code you need to compose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

NetBeans is a nice IDE, especially since it's free. It's rather intuitive and quite powerful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I haven't been able to find a way to step through the code. I would like to be able to see where I've made my coding mistakes, and sometimes that requires going step by step through the code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

if you want to develop a java application this is the best tool since it has an application window design tool where you can place copy and drag buttons windows forms among other tools that it does not offer. has many libraries to complement your java application development is perfectly compliant with postgresql and mysql. For its execution you need to install applications like Java Development Kit Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
usually a problem when running the program because if it has a bad interpretation is usually very slow. Some libraries for this tool are paid. it usually has some incompatibility with previous versions and for the web version its tools are very basic. Has a little template format for designs in java must download libraries and add-ons to make a java environment more pleasant and better visualization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about Netbeans is its plugin for the autocomplete that works brilliantly for the development of applications in the languages of Java and PHP. (They are the ones that I have tried, I do not know how it works for other languages.) Also, the great facility for the creation of UI (Graphical Interfaces) in java because its designer is very intuitive and you offer different layers to create the forms. (It also has support for MigLayout).
And undoubtedly the best feature of Netbeans is the management of databases, honestly it is the IDE that best implements and manages MySQL databases, which is very useful if you have to handle your project with some language, either php or java .
Finally, recognize that the community has an important role in making Netbeans so popular due to its contributions in plugins as in documentation and help or support to new IDE users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I will never understand how it is possible to create such a complete IDE and leave aside an aspect as important as the visual. The default interface and the chosen font as well as the icon theme are literally ugly and look dated. The icons do not describe at all the action they represent.
Unfortunately this is something very common among the IDE and I do not understand why it is so difficult to use more up-to-date graphic libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

is a super easy to use tool where you can design your desktop application or web environment in turn you can develop desktop, mobile and web applications quickly and easily with Java, PHP, C / C ++ and more.

has very little plugins for this application development tool
does not have a professional html code editor
It is usually a bit slow when running applications
for web development is usually a bit simple but useful
It is usually very slow if you have several projects running or if your computer is a bit outdated Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Netbeans for 3 years (maybe more) and I think it is a great IDE, which offers flexibility and speed for programming in many languages, especially the language that is best handled is Java.
Netbeans, like the majority of IDE is very customizable, fonts, themes, colors, position of the widget etc ... all this can be configured to the user's liking.
Technically it is a mature software, with several years of development so it is very stable. By default it has features such as autocomplete, syntax highlighting, search and replacement with support for regular expressions and database management.
To summarize, the positive points in my opinion of Netbeans are:
- As with most open source projects, it has great community support.
- Multiplatform, Windows and Linux
- Support third-party plugins, some very useful as Gradle support or better Git
- Possibility of adding external themes created by the community that greatly improve the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I did not like about Netbeans:
- I did not like the interface, it's too old and many users give importance to this point.
- The themes that come by default are not beautiful or current.
- The default fonts could be changed by other open source that look much better like "Noto Sans" Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
