Easy and intuitive experience, everything makes sense to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not (yet) the most popular so not everyone uses it - which means introducing something new to people you need involved. One day when everyone's on Munch it will be perfect! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the large amount of variations munch creates from videos I have edited. Also the Magic Posts tool is awesome, since I usually have to create the captions for all of the videos I make, it saves me so much time! I appreciate the updates you guys keep coming out with and all the text adjustment features and styles you can create. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's only things I wish could be changed for munch:
1. I wish I could upload longer event videos to be captioned without munch having to create a ton of short clips. I've had to use other captioning sites for this, but would prefer munch if they had the option. This goes for 16x9 videos, not vertical videos.
2. I wish I could adjust the time frame in which captions pop up. Sometimes the words flash way too fast and I want to be able to adjust that.
3. This one is more minor, but being able to adjust the position of each sentence would be incredible. Sometimes my edits get blocked by the captions in certain parts of the video and i want to just move 5 seconds of the captions to a higher or lower area of the frame. I like using Munch because it creates many clips that we can use to promote podcasts on social media. The tool gets better with new features added frequently. I even spoke to the CTO once about a bug with one of the files. It feels like they care a lot about customers and the future. We often use auto highlight in subtitles, and I like this feature. No tool is ideal, and you have to choose what works better for you, but Munch makes content repurposing much easier and quicker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I know AI is not ideal because most of our content is about conversational AI and customer experience, but sometimes clips are not very relevant or start at a random time that doesn't make sense without the context. Also, Munch can be a bit slow, and it took me a while to figure out the cropping feature. It would be nice to add timings to subtitles manually. Also, I'd love to be able to drag and change the size of subtitles rather than choosing pre-defined font sizes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A notable aspect of the solution is its editing functionalities. It has the ability to automatically trim clips, implement filters, and modify settings according to your video content, streamlining the editing process for greater efficiency and ease. Additionally, we liked the software's user-friendly interface, which is crafted to be intuitive and approachable, particularly for beginners in video editing. Lack of free trial might be a slight downside Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Munch can take longer video content and break it up into highly searchable, engaging content within a matter of minutes. It makes repurposing our podcast and interview content that much easier and has increased our exposure to possible clients through these bite-sized snippets.
It is easy and straight-forward to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No downside to using it other than there is a cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use for Munch has been fantastic. I find that the clips are pretty well cut and they don't cut. I also like the fact that I can extend the clips as needed, or reduce the video as needed as well. I am able to use my brand colors and different font styles. I have had to use the customer service department several times and they have been extremely helpful and pretty prompt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The one con I am currently experiencing is the fact that a few of my videos fail to download and I am having to contact support for the videos. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love how quick and easy it is to create short-form content out of our long-form videos! And the additions like being able to add subscribe overlays, titles, captions, AND gives you caption and title suggestions?!? It's perfect Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the shorts are irrelevant or don't make much sense, but not too often, and luckily there'll be 9 other options to choose from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ability to convert long form video content into short clips for social media. The auto-caption generator is also very good and we rarely have to make any edits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes Munch struggles to pick key points in some of our videos. Maybe this is due to the specific context of our videos. This results in us uploading a shorter clip to force Munch to work within the parametes we are looking to pinpoint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ease of use. I've tried out several other platforms and even though Munch might be slightly more for it's minutes, you make that back due to the time saved, and the fact their clips are "ready to go" and post to your social media platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly the only downside is that they are slightly more expensive if you have a lot of long form content, as you get a set amount of credits per month Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The AI picks out the best part of the clips. Saves me tons of time editing. I never would've done YT shorts if I didn't have this product. Customer support is quick to respond. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the subtitles are wrong and I have to retype things. Annoying but I still use Munch. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
