I like the ease of use of the website and the ability to keep all my assignments in one place without having to keep them on a device (usb) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the website can show a lag on the website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Moodle is another platform created to connect colleagues. I like that it does its job and is a great place to keep documents that are for a lot of people. It's nice to have everything in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honestly, Moodle is one of many platforms that pretty much do the same things. I don't like that they haven't really set themselves apart amongst competitors. In my opinion, I can use Google (Drive, Docs, Hangouts) to accomplish the same goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use and tailor to your needs. Course content sites inside shells that can be copied for easy reuse or designed from scratch. You can also use Moodle to manage groups and secure documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not always easy to integrate to other systems for update to registrations or users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I used moodle in context with a training for training & development professionals. We stored class documents there and participants were able to upload their assignments. It was fairly self-explanatory and, well, it's great that it's free to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think that the user interface looks dated and could be improved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Moodle is incredibly customizable and has loads of useful features for online learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is not a very intuitive program, especially for non-experts. It definitely takes time to get used to using it, but once you do, it's a snap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the automated gradebook, and the way that online assignment submission, forum participation, and quizzes all integrate with it. That's pretty much the only feature I like. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything else. This system is so convoluted. About 60% of the problem is the way my company's IT people have the defaults set, but the rest of it is just that the program tries to be everything to everyone. Educators in different disciplines have very different needs, and Moodle tries to accommodate all of them. The result is a huge, unwieldy, confusing program that everyone has to wade through in order to do even the basics. I spend about half of my time each week correcting stupid errors I made on Moodle settings for my students, or troubleshooting why they can't access something. The Moodle platform is an easy site to navigate, it has all the materials needed for the graduate courses I am taking. I am able to view the syllabus and uploaded reading material for the courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is no Moodle app that I am aware of. An app would make accessing the site much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's fairly clear for students, and usually reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is unappealing, more so than competitors' software. It's text-heavy, and I somewhat dread using it (despite having a background in information technology). Students don't find it particularly engaging either, which creates problems for me too as a professor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
