What do you like best about Moodle?

Moodle is easy to navigate on the student side and mostly intuitive to set up as a teacher. The grading module gives a clear and easy view of assignments. Aesthetics are relatively easy to incorporate into the module. Provides all of the basics needed to run a course smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

The platform appears slightly dated and the graphics and interface is not as "slick" as other platforms. The grading platform, as easy as it is to use, can be difficult to navigate between assignments and people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

Providing remote access for students to access course materials. Also an online learning platform for online courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

Modularibility of teh system (quick upgrade) and open source code Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

Big upgrades needs to upgrade databases too. Due to that I needed to reinstall whole learning system twice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

If you want the open learning management system with lot of moduls and plugins. Moodle is gret for you. One problem is upgrade from older version of the system to new one (you need to do upgrade continuosly, not time to time). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

Great control of user access and activities, great assignment and evaluation tools. Quizzes are great as assigment and can be used in many cases. Visual appearance is very customizable and can be set to your companies visual identity with some HTML and programming work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

A lot of time to set it up, it's desirable HTML knowledge to use it well. Its absolutely necessary to have programming skills to customize this software properly. We were not able yet to make it fully compatible with other education administration softwares we use here, but I think that's a resource limitation we have, not the software itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

Consider a programmer to costumize this software to your needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

Moodle is the platform that best fits in our working flow on e-learning activities, educational material sharing and course scheduling and evaluating. The previous software (unfortunatelly, I don't know what is it) did not reported user access data. Also, it allows us to post a great variety of online assignments that make our teaching capabilities wider. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

Too basic in functionality for the more tech-savvy course crowd. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

Hosting a digital training center. Our crowd is not that savvy on the computer and so it is very easy for them to navigate as a user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

Moodle is simple to use as simple as dragging and dropping items. Someone who is a beginner could easily use this platform to create a virtual learning environment.

Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

If someone is using it at an expert level they may find it too simplistic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

Easy company to work - would recommend for a company who is not familiar with creating platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Moodle?

My experience with this product was limited but very confusing. From the get go I really didn't like everything. The only thing I liked is that is a online tool for learning, and kids these days are very up to this kind of tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

Almost everything about it. Confusing interface, limited resources, bad managament of file. complicated enrollment of students, no really independence for customization. Their almost nothing I could do with google documents, twitter or facebook that i could no do here and simpler. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

Have tons of patience if you have never use a tool like this because it will be extremely frustrating. If this is your goal, my advice is to have a proper introduction on how to use. It need a lot of time to learn how to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

None. It was so complicated for me to use that I decide to rever to Twitter, Facebook, and Onedrive. More tools but yet less complicated. I would no recommend this to anyone. It's a pity that the person that was supposed to teach us how to use it was not really good, it left us with more questions than answers. To conclude, maybe I just had a bad experience and maybe I should give Moodle a second chance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

Moodle is an all in one suite that empowers students to take control of their learning environments. It allows students to manage their learning and keeps the important information right at their fingertips Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

Sometimes teaching staff can be improperly trained, meaning that they do not use the system to its full potential. This is very frustrating for the students and for the staff. Maybe making the system more easy and intuitive to use from a teaching staff point of view can help reduce this disparity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

It's a great piece of software that will really give students the edge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Moodle?

Enables different layouts and set up for courses. We find it to be the right price and don't have many issues with it working as it is supposed to. It's open source, so we don't have to pay a license fee, and it connects with our other systems thanks to our network engineer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

I would like to have the opportunity to get notifications via text and control what I get notifications for within the LMS itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

We solve the problem of having a stable platform to deliver online workshops and courses to our community. We benefit from enabling our community to take our workshops and courses at lower prices since we don't have to pay for a LMS license. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

The ease of location and ability to let users find their items they are in search for. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

The options, or lack there of, to customize and deviate from the original color scheme or looks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

This is a great solution for your students. This system is easy to use and with proper training, you will usually not have many questions from students unless there is a glitch in the system or something they cannot fix themselves. I usually have hardly any calls on individual issues for students. So as a huge recommendation, make sure you train the students well on the use of Moodle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use this solution for our students to use and access their assignments. This is the "one-stop shop" for all of their grades, assignments, study material, and information for their classes and classwork. A benefit that we have come to realize is how easy it is to set up your classes for your students. You can give them work for the day or week. You can even set it up for units, so that your students only look through certain material. This lowers on confusion and allows students to study better and easier.
