What do you like best about Moodle?

I particularly enjoyed working with employees, faculty, and students alike with Moodle as a primary platform for file sharing, organization, and communication between every aspect of the Institution. We loved how Moodle allowed access to everything needed to the Uni as a business and a vital source for students to check grades and keep in touch with themselves and their studies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

Some students complained of Moodle's ability to make the program user-friendly to incoming freshman and new faculty, particularly due to the learning curve needed to traverse the many different tabs and "buttons to push" to get where you need to go in the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

We would recommend that Moodle keep its primary functions stable while making the application more user friendly. This could be solved through shortening the amount of steps needed to get access to a certain page, document, or chat service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

As stated before, Moodle was a package deal that provided our University with all of the tools needed to provide quality studies to students and ensure that faculty and staff are all easily connected. We have seen that most students are happy with the new software, and that there is less need for updating and "organizational gymastics" needed to handle multiple programs, as was the case previously Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

What I like most about Moodle is the ease of creating and cloning courses, including their students and enrollments.

Its scalable system in terms of the number of students and the creation of virtual courses and virtual learning environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

One of its weak points and which I most disliked is although it has improved its graphical interface over the years it can still be a bit complicated for new users and course administrators, some of them even have to spend time in a brief training to start managing the platform Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

It is one of the best tools to administer courses both in your own company and in a teaching environment. Many features, good community and easy scaling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

With Moodle you can have a great solution for all students from a small institute to a large university. Also add that it has a large community of developers, so it will never lack any functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

It is a platform that meets the requirements for the administration and management of courses under the b-learning and e-learning (LMS) modality. There is a lot of material on the internet that explains the configuration and use of Moodle. There are different roles, which are configurable, that facilitate the work from the instructional design, the administration of the courses and participants and the tutorial of the same ones. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

The biggest problems have occurred at the time of updating the Moodle version, as there are problems with the databases. Another detail has to do with the size of the files to upload, since it does not allow large sizes, but this is a detail that is corrected in PHP.ini.

To solve problems requires some skills to seek help in the immense community that there is Moodle Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

Moodle being a platform with GNU license is quite complete to meet the requirements to administer and dictate courses online. There is a very large community on the Internet that shares experiences and provides help on any questions regarding the platform. Other resources, services and software can also be integrated relatively easily. I highly recommend Moodle for those who start in the creation and production of online courses Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

In our organization we use Moodle as an LMS platform because it fully satisfies our requirements and because it is a GNU license. Additionally we provide sevice and advice to different companies and organizations in the installation and configuration of Moodle Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Moodle?

Moodle is a tool that is built upon community work. It is free, but it is powerful. It is a Learning Management System that allows one to create a catalogue of courses on several topics with content that ranges from videos and quizzes to HTML pages and books with embedded files. You do not need to use your money to be able to create eLearnings that will help you to train and develop your staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

To use Moodle to its fullest you will need something else that the ability to use its interface, but a little bit of knowledge in programming. CSS for the theme and HTML to improve the design of the content are a must! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

Give it a try! Since it is free, you have nothing to lose, but a lot to gain! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use Moodle to offer training not only to the internal staff of the company but also to all the stakeholders. With Moodle we can direct our budget to the content, that is what really matters, since the tool is free and can be customised. Additionally, is a intuitive tool that has many possibilities, and users can easily complete courses and improve their knowledge without investing time in learning how to use it. What do you like best about Moodle?

Versatility and easy to use. Easy for students to follow and navigate around the site. A recommendation would be to make the site look a bit nicer. This may be a training issue in our institution, but when set up the courses look very clnical and not appealing to the student at all Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Moodle?

The interface looks very dated, When people think of moodle they think of an old clunky LMS. It doesnt have the drag and drop ability like most other LMS systems that are available in todays market Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Moodle:

Great platform for both the user and the admin team. Easy to navigate around, and set up courses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Moodle solving and how is that benefiting you?

That online learning is the way of the future. Students do not have to attend class if they live out of town.

Bening able to assess students work online, and being able to mark online with the collaboration of Turnit in. We can access students from all over NZ that would not necessarily enrol because of location. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
