It seems to have all the basic functions needed and easy to use layout. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
No complaints at the moment as it's been great to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy to use, great for creative people and digital services Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Actually I didn find something bad about it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
making procedural modeling more easy than other softwares. Also render your stuff directly inside Unity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
UV map is more weird than other softwares Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

A lot of great tools for modeling, both direct modeling and procedural modeling. Every tool can be combined with others in a tool pipe, in this way you can create your own custom tools and presets. The main features are the variety of selections tools, great hotkeys customization, a quick definition of action centers, falloff and placement of the workplane. Plus many other features like mesh operations, schematic nodes, meshfusion, etc Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Performance with high poly counts: the viewport can slow down when there are a lot of items in the scene. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is easy to get started once basic information of the program is learned.
Modo is the most flexible program.
Allows my employees to work in any stage of 3D progress.
It is cheap to acquire.
Easy in modeling and it is fun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Modo program sometimes becomes slow and more complex hence not user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nice workflow, all integrated in 1 software, sculpt and paint 3d too. Using mesh fusion in modelling, faster render and much more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Actually animation section can be more powerfull same tools like Maya 3D, but complete works. Then your can start a project from zero to animated finished without problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hi like the way Modo manage selections: if nothing is selected, everything is selected! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the internal renderer, it's very slow and it not support the GPU render. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Modo hand's down is one of the best modeling packages I've used in my years of 3D modeling/creation. When it comes to organic/hard-surface modeling/retopology, it has some of the best tools available of any AIO 3D software. One of the better perks I enjoy about Modo is how many of the most common tools are naturally assigned to hotkeys that just make sense. This helps take a lot of the "thinking" out of what you're doing and just allows you to work. The assigned keys for navigation make it tablet-friendly as well. Modo is also highly customizable, really allowing you to hone it in to your personal way of working. I've never been a huge fan of setting up UVs, but Modo has made this process painless to the point of therapeutic. And last but definitely not least, Modo has one of the best native renderers I've worked with as well, easily holding its own with the likes of rendering engines such as Arnold or Vray. After the modeling/UVing phase, Modo somewhat falls apart for me just a little bit. Most 3D software these days have a node-based approach to texturing that makes the process easier. Modo can be a little clunky when it comes to setting up textures, and as a result, there are other packages I'd still prefer to work in after the modeling phase.
Modo's animation toolsets has been growing over the years, but compared to an industry-standard software like Maya, Modo's animation toolsets still don't really hold a candle to the likes of Maya, unfortunately. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The modeling tools are well thought out and implemented. The tool system is based on a a user-customizeable platform that allows for a lot of artist-end modification without a lot of work. The rendering system is also very good. With minimal effort will produce nice quality results and with a little work it can produce some of the best 3D renderings of any package currently available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Working with very large scenes can often be a bit difficult and I would like to see some future development in that area. Also, the dynamics and simulation options (especially fluids and liquid simulation) could be improved upon in order to really round out the package as a full featured all-in-one toolset.
