Activating the recording feature in Teams is very easy and Stream processes and publishes the video quickly. Stream also allows editing of video conten and easy closed captioning with intuitive features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the video files could have somewhat advanced editing features right in Stream. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft Stream is a great tool to record meeting and screen capturing. It is fully embedded with Microsoft Teams, but it is also possible to use with its online portal. We use it weekly to record team meetings and to capture bug reports on our customer support operations. The implementation with the 365 suite is seamless. The tool is easy to use due to its visual similarities to other tools such as Youtube or Vimeo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The worst part of Microsoft Stream is the lack of options to navigate, search, and catalog the videos. Unless you store the videos on a SharePoint site, it is difficult to keep track of them, which can be a problem on the implementation of retention policies. The lack of Customer Support portals is a great issue across Microsoft entreprise products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing I like is it generates automatic transcripts for the videos. It is easy to use. The User interface and experience is great. Also, it is integrated with Microsoft 365. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing to dislike but while setting the permission it can be difficult for the first time users. More features should be added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Microsoft Stream's video playback quality can be inconsistent and prone to buffering issues, hindering the viewing experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about Microsoft Stream is its ease of use when it comes to sharing your videos. I like how if you record meetings on Microsoft Teams, it automatically shares it on Stream. I also like how it automatically transcribes such videos uploaded on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft Stream has some points to work on; if one has to create access to share the uploaded file with a team, it gets a bit tedious for new users. The time is taken for the video to be uploaded a bit long, and one has to spend it waiting for it to upload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can share many business related vidoes to my team members to whom I am working with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is only one dislike about I am unable to share video link to whom who are out of the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Microsoft Stream is a video platform tailored for big businesses. It has several benefits including: being user-friendly and accessible to all employees regardless of technical ability, providing secure video storage and sharing options, integrating with other Microsoft products, utilizing AI for automatic transcription and captioning, promoting collaboration through comments and likes, offering analytics to track usage and engagement, and allowing mobile access for on-the-go video content access. Microsoft Stream is not perfect and has limitations that may not make it the best solution for everyone. Some of the downsides include being a paid service that may be too expensive for smaller organizations or those with limited budgets, limited customization options for branding and interface design, restricted third-party integrations, a learning curve for some users, the requirement for video content to be in a specific format, and the need for a stable and fast internet connection to function effectively, particularly for users in remote or low-bandwidth locations. The most significant limitation is that you cannot share your videos outside your organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that Microsoft Stream is included in our Microsoft Suite for easy screen recording and sharing. Sometimes you need to make a video of your screen or audio to show someone how to do something and Stream makes it simple to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes downloading the videos and the setting isn't as seamless as I would like, especially if it is a longer video. I suppose this is to be expected though, so isn't the largest issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
