What do you like best about Method Grid?

Starting to use any new software can be slow and challenging but Method Grid is visual and intuitive so you can get stuck in right from the start. The visual layout helps everyone to "see" the whole process and each stage in between. I particularly like the card type format which you then click on to get all the details for that specific element. Quick, easy and fast to pick up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Method Grid?

I can't really say there's anything that I dislike, Method Grid are updating things constantly and I guess the one area that could improve is the size the number of pre-built templates available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Method Grid solving and how is that benefiting you?

We had an online training manual that no one read but we were updating it all the time and new starters were having to wade through pages of the manual which then referred to lots of other material stored in other places. We have used Method Grid mostly for new staff inductions and training updates. This has been invaluable as the induction has become much more comprehensive and most importantly, trackable. We can set staff tasks/modules they have to complete before moving on to the next and Method Grid can do all this but also the trainer can check in and see progress. Particularly important for us us GDPR/Data Security training, we need to constantly be on top of this and using Method Grid we can role out monthly updates which can be audited. Great we love it! The platform can take some getting used to, but the helpful guide videos are there to help new users understand how to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have a much more robust methodology across our service catalogue that helps us deliver consistent and ever-improving services by allowing the team to improve these methodologies over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Method Grid?

The fact that the tool is based on a simple product based stage gate means that it is intuitive and simple to build and navigate methodologies. It has some helpful features that can help you to put your methods to work across marketing, sales and delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Method Grid?

Method Grid is a tool and still requires the management discipline to encourage busy consultants to capture their learnings alongside the demands of client delivery Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Method Grid:

Good tool but you still need to address your team's behaviours to get them religiously capture your intellectual property. Think about these aspects at the same time as implementing the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Method Grid solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are capturing all our business transformation methods in the tool. Method Grid standardises our approach to methodology development and keeps it all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Method Grid?

I love the Method Grid interface and how easy it is to get up and running on the technology. This belies how truly powerful the tools are as a way to organize projects and memorialize data and process steps. Method Grid has revolutionized the way we share and store information and how we collaborate on projects as a team.

It is among the very best tools I have ever used in getting things organized and allowing us to instill a sense of shared stewardship of what we create and how we share that across the organization.

Another great thing about the Method Grid experience, is the responsiveness of the Method Grid team. They are incredibly reactive to feedback and include us as true partners in the development of the tool with the introduction of new features. Truly a top in class product and team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Method Grid?

I haven't really found a downside to using Method Grid. The one thing that does require a shift in thinking is how to operationalize an idea and fit it into the Method Grid format. "Gridding" is a skill that develops over time. Thinking through a project in a linear organized fashion (thought it sounds like such a supremely logical thing to do), is not always a natural way for everyone to approach a project.

With any new technology introduced to a company there is an adoption curve and getting people over the hump of this learning curve is a challenge. But, the challenge is well worth it given the power of the tool to transform the way you do business Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Method Grid:

Take the plunge! The transformational experience of truly thinking through your business processes and then sharing these across the organization is invaluable. It not only gives you a central place to house everything you and how you do it but changes the way you think through your projects and organize your business.

Ultimately, it makes you more efficient, more creative, more collaborative. You just get plain better at the basic things that allow companies to succeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Method Grid solving and how is that benefiting you?

Method Grid is a spectacular tool that allows us to store the processes that make our business run. It is an incredibly intuitive tool that gives you the ability to memorialize all of your best practices and house all of your Intellectual Property under one roof.

Induction is a primary use-case for us, allowing all new employees a central repository of best practices and "how-to" manuals and procedures that allows incoming employees to learn at their own pace and do a lot of self-service trouble shooting.

Another amazing use of Method Grid is as an Intellectual Property repository. The use of elements within the information management schema of Method Grid allows the organization to create and disseminate information throughout your employee base in a very easy to follow and interactive way.

Method Grid just makes us a more efficient company Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Method Grid?

I wish we had found Method Grid when we set up business 21 years ago. Having a platform to build, capture and share knowledge across our business will save so much repetition and time. I love the example grids they have provided such as induction and GDPR. This saves so much time and it helps that we are not all trying to reinvent a similar wheel. All I need to do is bespoke the example grid. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Method Grid?

I haven't really found anything to dislike. New tech always takes time to work with well. The most important things are planning the grid properly before populating. It takes time to do this which you will not regret. The other important thing is to take people with you. Remember everyone learns differently.

If I don't understand something Method Grid have responded so quickly. They are also amazingly open to new ideas on how to improve the platform so it is becoming more user friendly and useful all the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Method Grid:

Start with a small simple idea and get to know the tool well before you go too complex. Play with a build.

Take people with you on your journey. Some team members love process, others don't. How do you engage them all.

Use the example grids provided. It is hard to do the architecture of a new grid. That can be a stall point for many. Know your strengths and limitations. Build a team who see the world differently from you. Then architect your grid together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Method Grid solving and how is that benefiting you?

We work globally in the Leadership Development space (Purpose, Leadership & Management, Culture, Strategy, Organisation, Talent). We are in the process of mapping our knowledge/experience/experts in this space on Method Grid. Much of our knowledge is tacit and not always easily shared when we work globally in different languages. We are also learning all the time from and about our clients. We want to make this tacit knowledge shared knowledge. Method Grid will help us do this.

Induction - we plan to build a bespoke induction grid based on the Method Grid model.

GDPR - we are building our own map of where we are and what we have done and need to do in this space.

Team - our growing team need to know more about each other. We are building a grid which each member will be responsible for keeping up to date on themselves so we always know how their CV and experience is developing to help our clients and resourcing the best people into new projects. What do you like best about Method Grid?

Methodgrid can be configured to suit the way your business works, without any training or experience. The product team has focused on being intuitive to use and they have been adding new features at an impressive rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Method Grid?

I was an early adopter and some 'essential features were missing, however these have now been added, so there's not much to dislike at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Method Grid solving and how is that benefiting you?

Capturing knowledge - as a small consulting firm, the expertise resided in the heads of our senior people. For us a project to capture knowledge was going to be difficult to resource, so we have 'organically' recorded our corporate knowledge in methodgrid - for example, each time I do something and think "The rest of the team should know how to do this" I put it in methodgrid. This has steadily grown, so that it is now a repository of examples, self help etc that the whole team can use.

We have also migrated our on-boarding process to methodgrid, where we can now clone a grid for a new-joiner with checklists and the essential knowledge they need to get up to speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Method Grid?

You can save knowledge as you go - which is the best time to capture what you know. We can use the content for delivery, training and marketing so that we can maximise the benefits of what we know to as many people as possible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Method Grid?

No major issues; but what does work is the responsiveness of Methodgrid to consider new ideas and improvements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Method Grid solving and how is that benefiting you?

Delivery; we have created all our manuals and procedures and added in extras like videos and best practice.

Training; all our staff have full access to all that we know and are encouraged to contribute.

Induction; all our resources now for part of 30, 60 and 90 day training programmes for new starters.

Marketing; we can use all the knowledge for marketing content, guides, tenders and videos Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The new checklist feature and the ability top link to outside sources within elements Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Method Grid?

It's clunky. Not the most user friendly at the moment. For instance, auto remove the "Element Text Area" message when someone begins typing in a Text Area.
