The team is super responsive and helpful, and working with them through choosing Medrio and completing the training was great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There were a few key functions that we were told Medrio has available that were not, such as some of the question organizing, data grouping, etc. We also had issues with eConsent lacking the ability to include multiple signers on an eConsent, or make copies of eConsents. The eCRF's are fully customizable, the platform is logical and easy to navigate, and the sites have an easy time using Medrio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Be careful with how you choose your subject ID's. Since data is exported as excel files, 6 digit ID's automatically convert to dates. We have been trying to find a work around for this for 2 months and it still keep happening despite everyone's efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a relatively new user to Medrio (<1 year), I appreciate the robust reference material (e.g. Medrio community, Documentation), not to mention the Customer Support is second to none in terms of response time and helpfulness, and is perhaps my favorite aspect of working with Medrio EDC. I review data in EDC daily, and deploy study updates every few months, and have not yet run into any irresolveable issues. Additionally, I have no speed complaints for a ~1000 subject study, although my colleagues have experienced issues with larger studies. Lastly, having worked most recently and extensively with an in-house-developed EDC, I think that Medrio's strong suit is the granularity of control given to the EDC developer/administrator in configuring the UI of the eCRFs, skip logic, and form rules. I appreciate that Medrio has a forum for users to suggest and request new features for development, but I feel that a number of them are features present in other EDC systems that Medrio lacks, so I would really like to see Medrio more aggresively developing these features to make them as competitive as other EDC systems. Additionally, some aspects of the configuration and UI are not intuitive to me, and for the site users from whom I often receive questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a Data Manager, my experience with Medrio CDMS/EDC has been exceptional. The platform's ease of use is unparalleled, making it simple to navigate and manage complex data efficiently. Medrio's enhanced EDC capabilities have significantly streamlined our data collection and management processes, allowing our organization to focus more on growth and less on administrative tasks.
The intuitive interface and robust features have made it easy to train new team members, reducing onboarding time and increasing productivity. The customer support team is responsive and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any queries or issues we encounter.
Medrio's flexibility and customization options have enabled us to tailor the system to our specific needs, ensuring that we can capture and analyze data in the most effective way possible. Overall, Medrio has been a game-changer for our data management needs, and I highly recommend it to any organization looking to enhance their EDC capabilities. While my overall experience with Medrio has been positive, I have encountered some issues accessing training materials on certain sites due to browser compatibility or other technical complications. This has occasionally slowed down the training process, but the support team has been helpful in resolving these issues promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
An upside of using medrio is it it pretty straighforward to nagative around, medrio supports gets back to quickly if there is an issue, it has log lines which is useful for clinical trials, and user role mangement is easy to figure out Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
when pulling data from the browse data report section its not clear if all subject have been added to a subgroup or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Medrio is user friendly and provides the features needed to support our clients.
Medrio's support also improved a lot and responses, feedback and submissions are handled in a timoues manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It will be useful if exports can be generated from the system in excel format containing the SAS label export name in the column headers instead of the varibale names. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As an admin in charge of animal clinical trials, I can’t say enough good things about Medrio EDC. The ease of use is fantastic—it’s so simple to set up and manage our databases. We use it daily, and the number of features it offers really makes our work smoother. Getting it up and running was a breeze, thanks to the ease of implementation and the seamless integration with our existing systems. And whenever we’ve needed help, the customer support team has been quick to respond and super helpful. Medrio has truly become a vital part of our workflow, and I highly recommend it to anyone in this field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although the platform is user-friendly, there are some limitations in terms of how much you can customize certain features and forms. More advanced customization options would be beneficial for complex studies. While basic features are easy to use, some of the more advanced functionalities can take time to learn, especially for those who are not very tech-savvy. For smaller organizations or studies with limited budgets, the cost can be a concern, especially when considering the full range of features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Medrio Team! They are great, super-helpful in set-up. System itself is also quite nice and simple, but as in the title- so far I have experience only with UAT. User administration is simple, however my really good computer had problems with User Template file for 200 entries (it hanged-on). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
1. Search Forms panel (right hand in participant view) - every time I select eCRF, e.g. at V7, then after refresh search forms is going back to Visit1, it is annoying cause every time I have to scroll down to see again V7 eCRFs.
2. No linking and corsschecks between MH/AE and CM. It would streamline review.
3. Reports could be better, especially Site data summary report - pivot is necessary is we would like to see statistics, like how many subjects in screening we have for each site. It should be standard.
4. Protocol deviation collection and listing - it is extremely needed to be standarized and updated. Export is not good cause it exports pts even if they do not have any PD entered. Something to work on.
5. More standard dashboards needed, e.g. for queries analysis. Study monitoring report for global users is not allowing to filter by sites, which will be useful for trend analysis.
6. Advance reporting - this is a nightmare. I could not create anything I would like to, cause it is too difficult and training is not good. Not intuitive at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of implementation and use. The customer support is fantastic. We use medrio daily and the number of features provided help with our day to day job functions. Also, medrio is very easy to integrate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is nothing with the medrio system that we dislike Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only aspect I like about Medrio is the UI. This means the homepage and summarization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
-Slow and unable to work properly for large studies
-Audit log "anomaly" for check box questions (this is NOT OK) yet Medrio support team doesn't seem to care or escalate this since it will be an audit issue in the future
-Crashes most of the time
-Data audit log unable to load Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We hold Medrio EDC in a high regard for its user-friendly interface, flexibility, and quick study setup, making it accessible and efficient for users with varying technical expertise. We use the platform daily and with its extensive training resources and responsive support make the platform above the rest, as is its cost-effectiveness, particularly for a smaller organisation. Compliance with industry standards and robust security measures ensure data integrity, while integration capabilities streamline workflows by connecting with other tools ensuring adherence to local and international regulations. Additionally, real-time data access enables timely monitoring and decision-making, making Medrio EDC a valuable tool for managing clinical trials efficiently. Limited advanced features, constraints in customisation and reporting options, and a steeper learning curve for complex tasks. We have expereicned some challenges with data import/export and occasional performance issues (downtime). While generally cost-effective, adding certain features can increase costs. These areas present opportunities for Medrio to enhance its platform to better meet customer needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
