What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

The team is super responsive and helpful, and working with them through choosing Medrio and completing the training was great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

There were a few key functions that we were told Medrio has available that were not, such as some of the question organizing, data grouping, etc. We also had issues with eConsent lacking the ability to include multiple signers on an eConsent, or make copies of eConsents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?

Medrio is able to make much more dynamic CRF forms than free versions (such as google forms), and it is easier to train external study sites on than more home-made options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

The eCRF's are fully customizable, the platform is logical and easy to navigate, and the sites have an easy time using Medrio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

Be careful with how you choose your subject ID's. Since data is exported as excel files, 6 digit ID's automatically convert to dates. We have been trying to find a work around for this for 2 months and it still keep happening despite everyone's efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?

This is our EDC for a prospective clinical study. It was affordable, regulatory compliant, and easy to set up and deploy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

As a relatively new user to Medrio (<1 year), I appreciate the robust reference material (e.g. Medrio community, Documentation), not to mention the Customer Support is second to none in terms of response time and helpfulness, and is perhaps my favorite aspect of working with Medrio EDC. I review data in EDC daily, and deploy study updates every few months, and have not yet run into any irresolveable issues. Additionally, I have no speed complaints for a ~1000 subject study, although my colleagues have experienced issues with larger studies. Lastly, having worked most recently and extensively with an in-house-developed EDC, I think that Medrio's strong suit is the granularity of control given to the EDC developer/administrator in configuring the UI of the eCRFs, skip logic, and form rules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

I appreciate that Medrio has a forum for users to suggest and request new features for development, but I feel that a number of them are features present in other EDC systems that Medrio lacks, so I would really like to see Medrio more aggresively developing these features to make them as competitive as other EDC systems. Additionally, some aspects of the configuration and UI are not intuitive to me, and for the site users from whom I often receive questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?

Medrio EDC simplifies data collection and ensures regulatory compliance, improving data quality and integrity. Its real-time access and monitoring tools enable faster decision-making and efficient query resolution for our study team. These features save time and resources, supporting my study's operational efficiency and high-quality data output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Being able to quickly lock forms at a site level, not just patient level would help cut down on lock timelines. Adding a feature for DM to have an ability to lock batch would be cool Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Medrio's support also improved a lot and responses, feedback and submissions are handled in a timoues manner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

It will be useful if exports can be generated from the system in excel format containing the SAS label export name in the column headers instead of the varibale names. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?

The feature recently released to donwload all file attachments in the analysis tab has really improved our turnaround time for file exports where large amounts of data are uploaded to a study rather than opening each subjecy and expporting each file.

Suggestion will just be that there is not SOO many folders within folders when the export is generated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

As an admin in charge of animal clinical trials, I can’t say enough good things about Medrio EDC. The ease of use is fantastic—it’s so simple to set up and manage our databases. We use it daily, and the number of features it offers really makes our work smoother. Getting it up and running was a breeze, thanks to the ease of implementation and the seamless integration with our existing systems. And whenever we’ve needed help, the customer support team has been quick to respond and super helpful. Medrio has truly become a vital part of our workflow, and I highly recommend it to anyone in this field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

Although the platform is user-friendly, there are some limitations in terms of how much you can customize certain features and forms. More advanced customization options would be beneficial for complex studies. While basic features are easy to use, some of the more advanced functionalities can take time to learn, especially for those who are not very tech-savvy. For smaller organizations or studies with limited budgets, the cost can be a concern, especially when considering the full range of features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?

Medrio EDC simplifies the process of creating, managing, and organizing trial databases. This streamlining reduces the complexity of handling large volumes of data and helps maintain accuracy and consistency, saving time and minimizing errors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

The Medrio Team! They are great, super-helpful in set-up. System itself is also quite nice and simple, but as in the title- so far I have experience only with UAT. User administration is simple, however my really good computer had problems with User Template file for 200 entries (it hanged-on). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

1. Search Forms panel (right hand in participant view) - every time I select eCRF, e.g. at V7, then after refresh search forms is going back to Visit1, it is annoying cause every time I have to scroll down to see again V7 eCRFs.

2. No linking and corsschecks between MH/AE and CM. It would streamline review.

3. Reports could be better, especially Site data summary report - pivot is necessary is we would like to see statistics, like how many subjects in screening we have for each site. It should be standard.

4. Protocol deviation collection and listing - it is extremely needed to be standarized and updated. Export is not good cause it exports pts even if they do not have any PD entered. Something to work on.

5. More standard dashboards needed, e.g. for queries analysis. Study monitoring report for global users is not allowing to filter by sites, which will be useful for trend analysis.

6. Advance reporting - this is a nightmare. I could not create anything I would like to, cause it is too difficult and training is not good. Not intuitive at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?

during set-up, great developer David almost always has some good ideas. Medrio support is also working pretty quickly (e.g. if training was not working correctly). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

-Slow and unable to work properly for large studies

-Audit log "anomaly" for check box questions (this is NOT OK) yet Medrio support team doesn't seem to care or escalate this since it will be an audit issue in the future

-Crashes most of the time

-Data audit log unable to load Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Medrio EDC?

We hold Medrio EDC in a high regard for its user-friendly interface, flexibility, and quick study setup, making it accessible and efficient for users with varying technical expertise. We use the platform daily and with its extensive training resources and responsive support make the platform above the rest, as is its cost-effectiveness, particularly for a smaller organisation. Compliance with industry standards and robust security measures ensure data integrity, while integration capabilities streamline workflows by connecting with other tools ensuring adherence to local and international regulations. Additionally, real-time data access enables timely monitoring and decision-making, making Medrio EDC a valuable tool for managing clinical trials efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Medrio EDC?

Limited advanced features, constraints in customisation and reporting options, and a steeper learning curve for complex tasks. We have expereicned some challenges with data import/export and occasional performance issues (downtime). While generally cost-effective, adding certain features can increase costs. These areas present opportunities for Medrio to enhance its platform to better meet customer needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Medrio EDC solving and how is that benefiting you?

We at a site level, use Medrio as a bedside electronic data capture. This enables us to build databases and enter study information via eSource, instead of paper workbooks. This has increased many efficiencies across the organisation and has enabled a lot more flexibility for users at all levels (e.g. Data entry, Data Management) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
