ease of use, a lot of different options and styles, all material design goodies implemented and ready to use with ReactJS, easy to understand API and examples, easy to override and make theme for your app. Great documentation and I've seen a lot of progress in last 2 years regarding the code quality and options Material-UI is giving me, community and support are also great and they response in timely manner. A lot of options can lead to messy code, visual discrepancies across the app screens and forms. If you are implementing this in your team, please discuss everything to avoid developers using same component with different variants for style, be in touch with designer to avoid producing visual inconsistencies and use documentation and examples as much as you can as they are excellent source of doing the things right the first time. Foundational styling, the amount of features out of the box, and the flexibility. I also like how there are extensions for React to make integration extremely simple.
One of the greatest things about this library is the amount of components it offers out of the box. Almost EVERY UI component you can think of is styled in here. It's incredible.
Another thing that is nice about Material is the documentation. All of their components are live within their docs and you can view/edit code snippets in real time to see results. It makes developing against this very easy.
Lastly, I think some of the different styles that are offered for the components are modern and flashy. There's not really much you need to change out of the box to make your UI look great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the components are pretty difficult to extend and documentation is lacking.
For example: There's a concept of using breakpoints in order to ensure your site is flexible for mobile development. There are a few different ways to do this and their implementation differs. Therefore it kind of forces you to choose a method and stay consistent with it, thus removing any of the flexibility that's promised in the lib Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I love most about Material UI is that the styles are applied automatically to elements without adding any or a lot of class to html elements compared to bootstrap. Mateiral UI design gives a web application the feel of a native android mobile application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it is difficult to fix issues with the framework. Like animations when they do not work or are not as smooth as they should be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Material-UI to save us on design time in building our web applications. Material-UI has a wide variety of designs - headers, footers, tables, forms, pop-ups, side bars - so we have not needed to code any design element ourselves. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integration with your webstack can be tricky, especially with Material-UI upgrades to a new version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Used and developed by google, if you want your UI to have look and feel of google and google related other apps, you should consider using Material-UI. It's easy to use and implement and gives you smooth mobile friendly UI components to integrate into your website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I feel there are some good components missing in the framework which can be found in other frameworks such as Ant design, Semantic UI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Material UI solves a lot of the same problems as other UI frameworks, especially Bootstrap. I prefer material over Bootstrap, however, as it's much more unassuming of a UI library and is easier to fit to my needs in a given project. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since Material is actively in development, sometimes aspects of the documentation become deprecated and it's hard to find relevant solutions to difficulties. It can also be hard to override the css of props that are inherited from a base UI component. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Out of the box framework that has really support for the most use cases even for an B2B SaaS company.
Asking me it's one of the better implementations of Material Design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some things that can be more difficult then what it first seems and documentation for more none standard cases could be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how simple and clean the components are. The code is also pretty clean, easy to understand, and easy to implement. They also have different icons styles for all my needs and are pretty standard so that users are able to understand them as well. The material colors are also easy to use in how they label the colors. The colors are also designed to pair well with each other. Also, if needed you can always edit the components/code to customize the design to your needs. For example, it's really easy to change the corners of any component to suit your style/brand. The documentation online is also extremely helpful and provides additional resources you might need when building UI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The names of the icons are sometimes not very intuitive so it's hard to find the name of the icon I'm looking for. The only issue I've run into is that for some reason the UI looks slightly different on different browsers but I'm not sure if it's because of the code or the browser.
