The insights you see with this tool you don't get anywhere else. This is a one-of-a-kind tool. Nothing compare for content optimization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The AI credits are expensive so I mainly use the tool for the queries and insights they provide. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Gone are the days where I'd spend far too long creating copy briefs for my writers. Marketmuse provides semantic relevance to help my writers correlate head terms with related topics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's not that I dislike it, but I never feel the wordcount is accurate. That's fine though given the amount of time I've saved using the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use it primarily for optimizing. Helpful for giving insight on what subtopics within the main topic to cover. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A bit oversimplified. Some of our content has a much higher content score than Market muse suggests is the target, yet it still doesn't rank well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Speeds up the writing process and ensures I include relevant keywords from the start to produce better content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing at the moment. They are constantly improving the product. All the changes I wanted to see are implemented now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The huge competitive advantage Market Muse offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think when there are updates, they should be made clearer. Sometimes these random things are added but not very clear how to use and make the most of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

MarketMuse has a lot of great data to work with and their applications allow you to review a target keyword across several different factors and gain more insight into creating SEO content that can rank. I appreciate that it can help with internal linking, competitor research, and keyword research. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The credit structure/use is extremely cost-prohibitive for anyone that isn't an enterprise business. I had to do a lot of digging/asking questions to their customer support team to understand the nature of how plans worked and what was included — it's quite confusing. It's also confusing that MarketMuse is offering a lifetime deal to an audience of startup entrepreneurs when some of the best functionality relates to using several $100 credits per article. It's not something I can personally justify for every article I create for clients, as there would be no profit left for me. And SEO content is my main product offering!
Of course, that's not an issue if you're an enterprise business with a big budget, I just don't understand going after a non-enterprise audience with similar terms for credit usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the optimize tool helps me identify terms and search options that I would not otherwise consider . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't always love the failure to copy and paste from the optimize tool. Often it leaves paragraphs out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
MarketMuse is mature and have impressive functionality.
I find it very useful to find gaps in my competitors coverage and see my article scoring in real time while I write, so I can see what I need to add to get my score better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price of credits, they are extremely expensive! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that MarketMuse has allowed my team to streamline our content development initiatives. My team loves using the content briefs as a foundation and it helps to provide context to the tool beyond a simple count of phrases to include in a given piece. MarketMuse will go the extra mile to outline the type of content that should be developed around a subject and the briefs convey the intent behind the general search traffic that the content piece is likely to receive.
Building out the user-journey and mapping content by topic has been streamlined by the MarketMuses suite. I have found that their internal linking opportunity tool is an amazing tool for medium or larger sites. In my experience, organizations struggle to accurately take inventory of their site's content, and as a result, content is often replicated or poorly linked to within their own content. Creating dead-spots within the site that would otherwise offer value to readers if they had been incorporated more closely with their products, services, and new content. I would love to incorporate the MarketMuse platform into Google Documents. It would save my team a lot of time and effort being able to review Gdoc drafts, as opposed to copying and pasting the content into the tool.
It would also be nice to have the option to export content briefs into Google Documents as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
