MarketMuse enables me to do the following:
Get a better idea from the jump of how long a blog should be to compete with the other ranking blogs. Using the research tool, I can analyize the SERP for a particular keyword and get a sense of how long the blog should be, how many inline images it needs, etc. in order to compete with the top ranking content. This has given me a better sense of what to ask for when working with content writers and graphic designers.
The inventory features gives me a clear look at what's working, what's not, and what we need to dedicate more time and resources to. It gives me the context needed to help the larger team understand what we're looking for and why we're looking for it.
Because of the more detailed analysis I'm able to do, it has added trust across teams.
It's also fantastic for refreshing old content and making it SEO-friendly.
It's really easy to understand and use, and it has become a part of my weekly (maybe daily?) workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At this point I really haven't come across anything that I don't like about the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

MarketMuse is very helpful tool to optimize existing content or write content which is optimized, and get higher ranking on SERPs.
SERP X-Ray and Heatmap are most liking features for me, as it ease my task to do competitor research with my targeted primary keyword. Ultimately helps me to produce better content compare to my competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't find any dislike about MarketMuse, but sometime I feel, in SERP X-Ray there content score metrics doesn't perform well comparing with other tools like Frase & Surfer SEO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not a whole lot! With any new software, you need to take the time to use and integrate into your workflow. Their support team can make this really easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While MarketMuse is generally very efficient, there are occasional moments when it runs a bit slow. However, these instances are few and far between, hardly detracting from the overall positive experience. This minor issue is a small price to pay for the wealth of features and insights that MarketMuse offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We initially purchased MarketMuse because of our ability to quicky optimize content around keywords for SEO. As a team of two, we were outgunnedy many of the sites we competed against. But now we could see who we were competing against - and the lexicon that was being used to win that term. Most marketers think in terms of pushing an outbound message, but with SEO, we needed to make sure we were echoing the same words being used by our audience. Marketmuse ensured we did.
That expansion of our semantic vocabulary became a key driver to our content strategy. And it paid off in results. Year over year, our organic traffic grew by 45%. But we moved from using this as an optimization tool (albeit an important one) - to using it as a strategic tool that was used throughout the product lifecycle.
We quickly generated briefs for our stable of freelance writers, and provide background research, how long the piece should be.
SInce we now could see how we were ranking for key words (and the urls associated with them), we quickly identified content gaps and could decide if we simply refreshed an existing asset - or whether we created net new. We also could also examing search engine results (SERPS) for featureed results.
Perhaps the best feature of MarketMuse was its support team - they looked for ways to help us automate more and get out of spreadsheet hell. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a ton of really good features that are simply hard to find without being told what to look for. We definitely take advantage of the training and support teams to try and keep up! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Marketmuse helps to understand the most relevant topics for a search, gives you an overview of how to create truly useful and quality content for the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I miss a lot are the tutorials in Spanish, I hope they include them soon. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We mostly use it to create both new content and to optimise existing content. We especially use it to order content briefs on a regular basis which can be easily shared with anyone within and outside of your organisation and which are super easy to understand and work with.
The AI integration is great to create an outline for a piece of content or to structure the back end of a content piece, or even to add some insights and ideas when being stuck!
I can definitely recommend! :) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it crashes which is a little frustrating while writing, but it saves in between so you shouldn't loose any content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that I get direct insights on keyword research, personal difficulty, topic clusters, and so much more. It's a great tool to build out our existing SEO content strategy. It's been pretty easy to pick up, and the onboarding has been amazing. Implementing MM has been a game changer for our SEO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There aren't many reporting/insight metrics, but they said that's on the radar. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Simple & fast to pull text for page refreshes and repurposing (and to see what's being crawled/indexed) using the "Optimize" feature
- Easy to conduct competitor keyword usage gaps for content planning using the "research" feature
- SERP Navigator is helpful in researching the search intent of a given topic or KW (ie transactional vs educational) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Creating content briefs for blog / content outlines is a bit more involved using MM versus, say, chatGPT. And the quality of links provided, even when a site is added via "inventories", is hit or miss. But overall, it's still a helpful tool to have in my content planning toolbox. I will say that there is value in the NLP phrases to include, even though those can be somewhat hit or miss at times, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Optimize category is fantastic for making sure your content is properly optimized for SEO Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is not very intuitive. To optimize and research topics for a single article, you end up jumping around from tool to tool in a way that feels like the UI could be improved upon.
The content scores and topic research can crash or take a while to load. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really love the premise of MarketMuse, and I find certain aspects of the platform REALLY useful (Newsroom, for example, can be great for timely articles).
I used the service in a past role and really got a lot out of it. In this particular role, though, I don't feel like I got quite as much value, though it has certainly still been worth using. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do feel that the pricing is sometimes a bit steep for
the level of service one actually receives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
