The faster speed of the application for heavy files which take much more time in some other GIS application such as QGIS or ArcGIS makes MapInfo Pro clear choice of users. The zooming in of some GIS files to maximum level creates some problems and which makes very difficult to work on that GIS file. The data interpolation and analysis needs improvement. For example the kind of commands and tools are there in ArcGIS if can be implemented in MapInfo Pro then it will be an advantage. Building model in this makes the rework less. Very interactive platform. The mapping is very good and accepted by clients. The clarity of maps is very good. Supports the TUFLOW model build very well. The universal translator tool is like a blessing. The autocad files and others can be translated very easily. The workspace looks very interactive and colourful. The options of digitizing is best. The cosmetic layer helps as this forms a scratch layer to base other model build layers. Supports multiple format files. The vector functionality is also good. The best I like about is its integration with the Infoworks ICM which helps us to optimize the need of costly Infoworks ICM licenses, the tools which are really useful for example The Universal Translator. The worst thing is the undo button. you can only go back just one step back. another thing which I felt is that while copying a table only the data in the order is copied but the fields of that won’t be copied so it’s difficult when you have a large number of fields to play with. Layout are too slow to work. Need improvement as too slow to work when multiple layer is open. Bing map quality is not good. High resolution map required. There is no option to set the view of layer depending on zoom. This is going to be useful for multiple layer. There is no 3d feature available. taking printout is not user friendly.
