The amazing site explorer gives me a detail analysis of all the links to my website and also the competitors. I even like using Search Explorer, Backlink History, Keyword Checker and Compare Tool. While informative, the Majestic tool isn't what you'd call pretty. Meaning, you can't take a visual and drop it directly into any sort of client-facing deck, but you'll be able to digest information fairly quickly.

There is a fresh index which shows links which their crawler recently picked up on and a historic index which shows links they have seen from a while ago. The "historic" index does not tell you if they are still live or not; this would be expecially helpful when using the Clique Hunter tool. Just that they have been live at one point in time. With the recent Penguin updates, Google is looking at backlinks according to the type of websites these links are originating from.
