It is an amazing software for designers like me. We can import 3D files from any software to Lumion very easily. The most important feature is that we can insert people, birds, vegetation, and even water that flows. In addition, it is easy to capture views from different angles. It really is the best presentation software for architects and designers. In addition it is super important to note that this software is rendered much faster than others, for me it saves a lot of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In general I do not have much problem with Lumion, I wish there were more options for animations for people, it is a bit difficult to navigate between the options of the same model and has demanding specifications, but it runs anyway. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lumion is an extremely fast 3D rendering and visualization software. No training is required. After following a brief trial (roughly 15 minutes) users are provided with all the necessary tools/knowledge to create images and visualizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Importing external materials (and their respective channels) could be better. It would be nice if all channels could be adjusted directly from within Lumion without a Photoshop detour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI is amazing and is very simple for anyone to learn it overnight and become a pro in it. The Rendering speed is fantastic and helps to get the job done in the quickest way possible Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The renders are still not there in terms of quality... It needs to be Photorealistic. The materials and their bump maps needs to worked on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is realistic and can implement any vision the designer has. It’s a great method of communication to the client so they understand and can see the vision. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is challenging to use and sometimes not very intuitive Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lumion helps create semi-realistic renderings with less time than other methods. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is unlike any other programs we use. It doesn't follow typical windows fashion. No Ctrl + Z for undo. No Ctrl + S for save, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is not complex, it allows you to import files modeled in other software and then apply the materials to perform the animated render, the appearance and result left me as acceptable and includes very useful tools to make the animation more real.
It has enough components to introduce the animation project from people to vegetation, online also get many resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Although it is very efficient it is still a bit below the expected realism result, the transitions are still a bit slow and the renderings of the animations take a long time, while the more complete and complex the project will be the longer it will take to finish the production. Easiest rendering software I have used. Great textures, ease of use and extremely user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Expensive, and very demanding on the configuration of the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
