Loopio's content library has been the most efficient manner to keep track of our huge catalog of responses. It's easy to search and Loopio's training makes organizing simple. I've loved working with the Loopio team to request new features - they have top notch customer support. I use Loopio on a near daily basis. As Word expert, I'm pleased with their Microsoft integration to upload our own Word style template, so when our content is exported and matches our existing content. I found the process to become a skilled user easy. Our team is delving into using Loopio project functionality...we managed to finish the initial response on a bid with over 1000 requirements in only two weeks using this tool. Training the 40 new users only took 30 minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish some integrations, such as with Microsoft products and Monday.com (not present), were more robust. For example, if you're using Loopio to run a project, they expect it to be finished in the system... if you export it earlier in the process, comments in Loopio won't be exported into the Word file. If a project in Loopio ends up being huge, you can't easily split it later in the process (to mitigate the Word export possibly crashing Word) because duplicating a project won't transfer the project's answers, just the questions. While these are some issues I've had with the tool, I'm hopeful the Loopio development team will add features to address them in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the user-friendly platform. Training others within my organization to use Loopio for various projects is easy. I used Loopio at my previous job, and when I moved into a new role at a different company, I persuaded them to join as well. I implemented the platform and created a library from zero to over 1500 entries! I would never work for a bid and proposal company that does not subscribe to Loopio. It makes my job much more efficient and saves productivity for my entire organization. Also, the new feature of Generate AI is amazing! When I am lost for words, they guide me in finding the right ones! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the extention to Excel can be tricky to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loopio has been extremely helpful in making our RFP team and our firm as a whole more efficient and consistent in our messaging. The first of two primary benefits has been creating a process that seamlessly includes the subject matter experts in the review process of our narrative library. The narrative library is kept organized and reliable throughout the year because we know when each narrative was last reviewed, by whom, and what changes were made. The second primary benefit has been efficiency in completing each project we import, share with business partners, compete with multiple reviews, and then export. What used to take us weeks now can take a matter of days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The export functionality still needs some work. I realize this is largely to do with the uniqueness of the documents being imported, but there need to be more options and automatic matching of formats upon export. The export process for a long project is usually the most tedious part of the cycle. Magic is fine but I'd be interested to see how other firms are utilizing it better, if at all. ✓ Useful for qualitative DDQs (word docs, PDFs, follow up questions)
✓ Online question library makes it easier to search for responses – it’s possible to search the library using multiple key words (rather than searching for one word or phrase, like in excel)
✓ The “magic” tool will auto-populate DDQs, pulling in responses from the question library – this is especially useful for standard requests, like ILPA templates
✓ It’s possible to assign questions to different internal teams to complete or review the response, like legal, tax or IR. They will then get email notifications of the task assigned to them (these can be switched off, too)
✓ Finished DDQs can be exported into the word or PDF files, complete with images, graphs, footnotes, etc.
✓ The “merge variables” tool will enable small updates to be made en masse to questions saved in the library – e.g. updating quarterly numbers, or number of realised deals Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
X Not useful for heavy quantitative, excel-based DDQs as trying to store and maintain the content for quantitative analysis becomes too granular
X Building the content library and recreating the DDQs skeleton will require some effort at the onset, which should be mitigated by the time saved completing the request
X Saving completed responses from the project back into the question library after finishing a DDQ can be time-consuming, therefore a change in the process will be needed whereby all edits to DDQs should be made on the platform before exporting as a final document
X The “magic” tool (i.e. automated functionality for answers matching) may not always be useful for niche follow-up questions and will always requires double checking
X The question library can become “messy” over time if not managed appropriately, so it is important to define and follow an appropriate process in maintaining the content library Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Loopio has a fantastic content library and excellent RFP automation tools--but so do another of their competitors.
What truly sets Loopio apart is some of the best customer/account support I have received from any company in my 20+ year career, as well as customer-focused, continuous development.
Loopio not only listens to their customers, but they take action. I can't even count how many times I've mentioned to my account manager "it would be nice if Loopio could eventually implement XYZ feature" and within weeks they're contacting me about beta testing the new feature for an upcoming release. And if it's not exactly what we're looking for, they'll continue to ask for our feedback until they launch a version that is exactly what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I honestly can't think of anything. They stand by their product, hire great people, and continuosly innovate to stay one step ahead of their competitors. I've used other RFP automation and proposal content tools in the past. I hope I never have to again. I'm 100% on Team Loopio. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have found the content library to be an effective and efficient way to track our previous and standard responses. It is easy to search for any topics due to the use of stacks and sub-stacks. The team has been super helpful with getting use onboard and it was easy to train new users. We look forward to using Loopio to collaborate with other teams internally. It does take time to create and put in place a process which works for the firm, but once done, it is easy to maintain the content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's definitely made the collaboration process much easier to manage. The content library and use of Magic is great.
Implementation was very straight forward. Well structured and paced. All of the user guide section os comprehensive and the ongoing support from my success manager is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
when there are documents that the client needs completing that don't easily fit into Loopio's structure of 'question and answer' e.g. there might be 2 fields that have information about the question, but I cannot select both fields as a question. Or similar with answers. There might be a multiple choice response that requires an explanation, but I can't choose 2 places for an answer to only 1 question. I've been an admin for Loopio for around 8 months now and I've found one of it's best features is it's library search. Loopio has a brilliant RAG search that allows myself and colleagues to find the most relevant responses to questions, saving a lot of time. In addition, it is always very easy to use and search key terms, tags or entry owners. As an admin, it is also easy to give access to different users and stay on top of licences. I dislike is the library management set up and I think it could be a little clearer. It is hard to see which responses are the most recent, and which need to be updated from the view. This could pose an issue when there is a large number of responses and the team needs to update Loopio content. I've noticed a lot of users do not use a lot of the features provided, namely projects and the Magic AI tool. Although as an Admin, I have demoed both features numerous times, users are reluctant to pick up the feature since their main use of Loopio is the library search function. I've also noticed that the Magic AI tool can be fairly tricky to use, escpeially when trying to highlight the question and subquestion in the document, which can cause users to get frustrated and instead use the library search. Some of the things that I appreciate the most about Loopio are:
* It's ability to read in various RFP formats and automatically ingest them into its system and then when it comes time to submit the RFP, export it out into that same format. It makes it easy to work within the Loopio format and provide the required output.
* The auto selection and identification - they call it Magic. It searches the library of existing answers and then auto matches based on the RFP questions. While they are not perfect matches always, some are perfect matches, and as long as you keep tagging "alternate" versions of questions it keeps getting better and better.
* Review and add to library. The workflow and process of continually maintaining your library is much appreciated. It helps you to continually improve your content and then continually take advantage of the results of your improvement.
* Search. While auto matching is great, the flexibility of search really comes in handy for looking across your data and finding answers that match the question or closely match so you can improve the existing answer or create a variation that is more applicable.
* Ease of combining pieces to make a full answer. Breaking up your library answers into smaller chunks and then making it easy to combine them for a client op specific question is great.
* Support team has been rapid and helpful when I requested it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is pricey for smaller organizations and they don't have options that really fit these groups that have smaller teams.
The training provide is ok, but could benefit from more engaging interactive simulations (show me/try me/test me) and more of these types of learnings provided in an on demand searchable community. Support has certainly helped when I had questions though and filled in those gaps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The most helpful elements of Loopio are the ability to search the library and projects for historical data by using Magic. Using my old system, I relied on many folders in Word and by memory. A few benefits that assist our company are the dashboard, reporting features, and the NUDGE button. It is convenient to see at a glance by looking at the dashboard where a project stands and NUDGE an assignee if they are lagging in their responses.
Loopio's customer support model is fantastic. I appreciate the monthly check-ins with Peter Yu and find the quick turn around from other support personnel to be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have used Loopio for two (2) years now, and they have made positive strides. I do wish that the ability to import data from large tables was easier than it is currently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
