I do not like the percentage tax that kickstarter has, I think their program would have more use and less problems if they turned to a more ad-based revenue system. I think Kickstarter's greatest values are the high amount of people that are aware of and regularly use their platform and Kickstarter's ability to weed out a significant amount of low quality campaigns. Though Kickstarter has certainly had its fair share of subpar campaigns, when you compare it to other crowdfunding platforms, Kickstarter does a good job at accepting quality campaigns with product and service offerings that are notable to funders. The Kickstarter campaign builder can be somewhat restrictive of how we want to present our campaign. To lay things out the way you want may require clever formatting or creating linked or embedded assets like YouTube videos or animated GIFs. I think the fees are somewhat high.
