Model based Testing and usage of AI for our testing needs. Eggplant helps to automate the whole testing process and also helps in monitoring insights post production and also do load testing. It also helps me to schedule and maintain test assets in a single place. Detailed logs are provided along with test evidence which is completely cloud based, helping me to share the reports to any one without any issues. It also helps me with the analysis of application usage post production and giving me insights into how the application is being used by end user and also bring in that information back into testing so that we can focus testing on areas where customers are using the application. And Eggplant also talks about customer experience optimisation rather than just making application bug free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I could not find anything to dislike in the whole DAI suite. I would recommend this tool to all QA community. This tool allows to automate all the applications which has UI and it can do API and data base testing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its a great automation suite which helps in automating desktop based applications and web based applications using image and OCR recognition methods. This means there is no dependancy in OS or browsers or what code the application run on. It also allow us to embed Selenium commands to automate the web applications using object based automation technique. This is icing on the cake. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its not a open source software, its a proprietary software. Good thing in this is they have proper support and customer interaction team where they will help us resolve issues in the upcoming versions. OCR recognition accuracy was little less until version 20. Post v20, they have made significant changes which inturn have helped in better recognition of complex texts on the screen. The image recognition potential of Eggplant is very good, and this can be made more efficient using variety of inbuilt mechanisms. User has variety of commands and options to achieve their work. I have used eggplant for both web based and CAD application testing. CAD applications have more dynamic UI , but still Eggplant was able to recognize those frequently changing images and complete the testing as fed into scripts. 1. I feel there should be more advanced conditional based commands like if-not, rather then simple conditional statements.
2. Secondly the reporting mechanism of Eggplant is poor. I feel somehow manual interpretation is required to understand whether the warning populated by Eggplant is valid or not.
3. sometimes if Eggplant is unable to find image in first attempt, then it tries again by increasing dynamic tolerance and find the image using self enhanced search engine capability . But while doing so it throws warning in log which needs to be carefully analyzed because those warnings are actually not bug for software under test, but generated by eggplant software itself due to it's working method. This is very interesting and easy automation tool. You can automate anything what other tools can't. Many easy features and supports mobile, CI/CD, management tool. I would recommend everyone to use this tool. Now eggplant is supporting devops, RPA. I would love to use most of the eggplant functional and performance and load testing. As it's image based automation tool, very simple to learn and automate. And eggplant support will always help to support the customers whenever they have questions. Now eggplant has more customers and users. i would love to see many more customers to eggplant.

Nothing I can say. As it's very useful and easy tool. But bit expensive.. If the license price is bit low, other small organizations also will use it. So that our eggplant will visible to software world. When the price is available in low, definitely other organizations will look . Most of the companies will depend on open source tools like selenium. But apparently, eggplant has more beautiful features are available as compared to other tools. senseTalk, it's very easy. It's very readable even to people who are new to coding programming. We no longer need to depend on object ids or names. We can almost work instantly no prior automation knowledge is required. It's very easy. The inbuilt framework gives you option to run and debug code from point to point which saves lot of development time. You can instantly see whether your SenseTalk script works. Platform and technology independent. As it's image based tool, it works for all applications irrespective of platform it developed on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
OCR not accurate despite the main feature. SenseTalk lacks exception handling. But If else conditions manage some exceptions. Screen resolution plays key role in object identification. Tool struggles when there are theme or resolution changes. There are compatibility issues when UI aspects change. We need to recapture and add images collections on each system separatly which is cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
