We’ve been able to adapt KeyedIn to our business model, so the flexibility has been helpful. The support model is fantastic, and the account team is always available to help. THe learning curve was not bad, and there is a lot of functionality to help manage projects and portfolios. The reporting engine has been revamped and much improved. The software was easy for our PMO and our developers to buy in, because the product helped to reduce standups and planning meetings while still providing the necessary updates to our managers and PMs in order to satisfy all parties. There are several features that our creative department does not utilize such as invoicing and production stats so it can be intimidating at first. System requires a lot of setup and configuring in order to operate properly. Every organization will need to have a dedicated resource to live and breathe the system, otherwise even the smallest tweaks or errors are difficult to diagnose, or fix, without support. Timesheet integration to Intacct is an "all or nothing" proposition. Because there are times when some hours can't be approved in KeyedIn yet others can, this creates a delay in moving time to Intacct for those projects eligible for invoicing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When we were looking to round out our ERP system, we needed a resource management system that would seamlessly integrate with our CRM and Accounting system. KeyedIn 's integration with SalesForce and Intacct met our needs and we now have only one point of entry for any piece information and the other two systems are automatically updated. Opportunities set up in SalesForce are transferred to KeyedIn os resources can be assigned. Time entered In KeyedIn is transferred to Intacct for Billing and Project Profitability tracking. Our consulting company provides B2B Marketing services to help clients accelerate sales revenue by building their Lead-to-Revenue capabilities. In many cases, we work as an extension of our client’s organization. We needed a tool to track resources, projects, time, and deliverables both for our internal team and for projects that include client resources. So while we’re a small company, we need to manage numerous projects and deadlines at any given time.

For our situation, we like the flexibility of Keyedin Projects to fit our operating environment and the project portfolio management capabilities. We prefer to initiate and plan projects at the top level and then add detail as information becomes available. We can manage as much, or as little as we need for a particular project or client.

The learning curve for new team members to get started is higher than a basic task tracking / project management tool such as Trello or BaseCamp.
