"Streamlined Identity Management Despite Cost Challenges"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I really like JumpCloud's ability to fine-tune onboarding, which is great for our team. The support documentation is quite helpful; if something isn't obvious, a quick search points me to exactly what I need and how to do it. The ease of use stands out, making it simpler for on-boarding new users as they can just receive an activation link, enroll their devices, and manage their identity with no hassle. Also, the integration with Google Workspace is invaluable for our organization, simplifying management across all operating systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I believe cost is the biggest thing when you are dealing with integration into workspace, I wish it was more affordable since every user essentially is a double charge from Google and JumpCloud itself. I think JumpCloud needs more flexible subscription models to be able to survive for medium to large size businesses who want to save a little. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined IT Management with Initial Setup Hurdles"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I use JumpCloud as an MDM for my nonprofit organization, and it definitely streamlines the deployment of technology, apps, and people management for IT tasks, making my workflow much more efficient. I think the ease of access once everything is set up is fairly straightforward and easy to use. The UI is really great and not convoluted to use. The Password Manager is a great addition. I value the MDM features for device enrollment, deployment, and management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

It's pretty difficult to get everything all set up unless you speak IT. For smaller organizations there's a lot of terminology and cumbersome process to do. It was a bit difficult, but nothing terrifying. It did take some support hours with Professional Services to get it to where it needed to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Straightforward and Honest"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

JumpCloud makes it incredibly easy to manage users, devices, and access policies from one central platform. I like that it works well across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems, which is great for a mixed environment. The SSO and MFA features are straightforward to implement, and I don’t need multiple tools for identity and device management anymore. The UI is clean, and the automation options (like Commands and Policies) save a lot of manual work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The reporting and analytics features could be more advanced. While the core functionality works well, sometimes it's hard to get detailed, customized reports or export data in the format I want. Also, the initial learning curve was a bit steep due to the number of features. More guided setup or onboarding help would be nice for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Centralized IT Management with Room for Improvement"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I appreciate that JumpCloud is constantly iterating to become more of an all-in-one platform, allowing us as admins to have the most access to do our jobs from one central location. Specifically, the ability to control software access using SSO and user groups is great, and having many of our software tools being native SSO integrations makes things smoother. The MDM platform, along with the new asset management feature, tracks necessary information and lets us set device groups with rules that comply with our SOC 2 guidelines. This empowers us to control software and data access effectively through user and device groups. Additionally, the password manager is pretty good, even though it still needs some quality of life upgrades. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The password manager isn't better than or even as good as other tools available on the market and is currently the most lacking feature. The initial setup was difficult, particularly with SSO integrations for non-native software tools being time-consuming. There was also a weird glitch where devices seemed to be un-enrolling from the MDM or the agent was going inactive on devices for a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Secure, Scalable and Streamlined : Our Jumpcloud Journey"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

Well the thing I like most about Jumpcloud is how the management and authentication is being managed at one place. and I feel bit easy to manage user access across our entire environments and visibility plus ability to enforce policies, making it more consistent and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

What I personally think is, while managing larger environments the Admin console, seems slightly complex. Mostly when we work on user access and policy conflicts and also if we could get more detailed and intuitive details around authentication logs and device compliance then it will be bit easy and fast for us to troubleshoot any issue. "Centralized MDM and SSO Platform"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I really like that JumpCloud serves as our centralized MDM and SSO platform across the organization. It manages device compliance for both macOS and Windows, enforces security policies, and acts as our identity provider for SaaS applications. It's great that it functions as the single source of truth for user identities, authentication, and device trust. The initial setup was very easy, especially with the support available from JumpCloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

The platform is robust, but it could be improved with enhancements in reporting depth, UI refinement, and better troubleshooting visibility. More customizable dashboards and deeper filtering capabilities for reporting, along with the ability to create role-based security views, would be valuable. From a UI perspective, consolidating policy views and reducing navigation depth for common administrative tasks would make it stronger. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Management as a company Scales"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I like how JumpCloud is extremely lightweight and low cost, which allows me to potentially run an IT team with minimal personnel like an admin or DevOps intern, rather than needing a full IT, OT, or networking team. It also integrates well with existing or new tools like Google Workspace, Linux, and Ubuntu, and doesn't just rely on legacy Microsoft systems. It's quite versatile and easy to scale. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

As the use of JumpCloud increases, the cost obviously increases, going linearly with scale. The stability of login and device authentication could be better, along with bugs and glitches in the JumpCloud password manager. The initial setup is quite complicated, and even though it is low cost and lightweight, it doesn't necessarily mean faster setup. You need someone who is intelligent and switched on to pick it up, as it's a new way of working that existing IT staff might not be accustomed to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Simplified Identity Management with Excellent Remote Access"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I really like that when someone submits a ticket in JumpCloud, I can quickly pull up their details by their name, which gives me a ton of insight into what's going on with their device. Whether they're having issues with administrator access or something else, the JumpCloud dashboard provides a lot of insights. We can see if a machine's hard drive isn't large enough or if it needs replacing because it's too old. This feature stands out the most. I also appreciate the software management capabilities that allow us to auto-install applications like Chrome or Adobe and keep them updated without hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

We have some issues when people reset their passwords. It causes issues with their Microsoft account. When they log in, they can't get into Outlook or Word or anything, and we need to jump through a few hoops to get to that. But I think that's a Microsoft issue. The initial setup was a little painful, probably more just a training issue on our end. We didn't realize some of the users required administrator access to update certain applications. We had a bunch of issues with that and had to manually migrate everyone's local user profile to their new JumpCloud profile. The initial setup was a little rocky. "JumpCloud Streamlines Identity and Device Management with Smooth SSO and MFA"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I really appreciate JumpCloud’s centralized identity and device management capabilities. It makes managing users, devices, and access controls across different platforms seamless and efficient. The SSO and MFA features significantly enhance security while keeping the user experience smooth. Overall, it simplifies IT operations and improves visibility and control across the organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

While JumpCloud is powerful, the initial setup and configuration can feel complex and time-consuming. Some advanced features are not very intuitive and require detailed documentation to navigate. Additionally, troubleshooting can occasionally be challenging due to limited visibility into certain backend processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Efficient Asset Management, Needs Remote Fix Enhancements"
What do you like best about JumpCloud?

I use JumpCloud for managing access and fixing IT issues, which I find very efficient. It makes it very easy to manage fleets under one platform. The commands features are particularly helpful, along with the strict insights and data into devices. It allows us to remotely fix bugs and resolve issues instead of needing to physically travel to the location of the device. The initial setup of JumpCloud was very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about JumpCloud?

I dislike that the ability to send Ctrl-Alt-Delete is only partially working, and the ability to properly restart the computer is also a problem. When remotely connecting to a device, even if the device is just locked, it fails to send Ctrl-Alt-Delete and restart requests, which means I can't get the device back to a remote connectable state.
