What do you like best about Joget DX?

It's a straightforward, low learning curve and cost effective (i.e. not too expensive for subscriptions and perpetual licenses) solution for immediate quick & dirty digital transformation.

It has options for both in-cloud subscription AND on-premise deployments. The additional on-premise options are very useful whenever I propose this Joget solution to my customers for their digital transformation needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joget DX?

Coming from a software developer background, I find trying to implement some intermediate business rules with additional logic, calculation and backend access/processing of multiple data sources to be quite difficult to 'visualize' and grasp on this platform.

As such, initial forays into this platform might not give you the confidence that you can build just about 'ANY' applications or systems with it.

Also, even though it is supposed to display as a Progressive Web App that should adapt to different screen sizes especially on mobile devices, i find that some of its components don't display very well on smaller screens. e.g. A data entry grid that requires a lot of horizontal scrolling on a vertical smartphone screen. Joget should put more thought and design into User Experiences (UX). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Thanks for the feedback! We are always happy to hear from our users and we appreciate your review.

Q1: Coming from a software developer background, I find trying to implement some intermediate business rules with additional logic, calculation and backend access/processing of multiple data sources to be quite difficult to 'visualize' and grasp on this platform. As such, initial forays into this platform might not give you the confidence that you can build just about 'ANY' applications or systems with it.

Ans: There are tutorials available on the Joget Knowledge Base at https://dev.joget.org/community/display/DX7/Plugin+Tutorials and we will continuously improve the documentation for the platform to help showcase the flexibility of the platform.

Q2: Also, even though it is supposed to display as a Progressive Web App that should adapt to different screen sizes especially on mobile devices, i find that some of its components don't display very well on smaller screens. e.g. A data entry grid that requires a lot of horizontal scrolling on a vertical smartphone screen. Joget should put more thought and design into User Experiences (UX).

Ans: We will be continuously improving the UI elements. In the meantime, there are new ready-made themes available on the Joget Marketplace where you can check it out at https://marketplace.joget.org.

We hope you continue to enjoy the experience with us and at any time if you need to reach out to us, please do not hesitate to email us at wehearyou@joget.com.

What do you like best about Joget DX?

Extensively configurable assembly blocks known as plugins, which help to create a good balance between the speed of application building vs customisability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joget DX?

The absence of exception handling and retry features within the JSON and SOAP Tools is a room for improvement in future version, to make system integration even more manageable from "fail-safe" perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Penny Lee of Joget DX

Thanks for the feedback! We are always happy to hear from our users and we appreciate your review.

We will continuously improve the integration capabilities in the platform. In the meantime, we have released the API Builder as a no-code/low-code for API integration where you can find out the details on the Joget Knowledge Base at https://dev.joget.org/community/display/marketplace/API+Builder. This provides a seamless experience for developers to integrate Joget with external software.

What do you like best about Joget DX?

3. Can build Non-Coding Application Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Joget DX?

1.Hard to Design Multi-Approve

2.Advance Function is coding

3. Retrieve Data is coding Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Penny Lee of Joget DX

Thanks for the feedback! We are always happy to hear from our users and we appreciate your review.

Q1: Hard to Design Multi-Approve

Ans: The Process Enhancement plugin (https://dev.joget.org/community/display/marketplace/Process+Enhancement+Plugin) supports this, along with other features to enhance and simplify common approval process flows.

Q2: Advance Function is coding

Ans: The platform caters for no-code, low-code and pro-code use cases. No-code can do a lot of things, but as high complexity applications do require a high degree of complexity, there will be a need to delve into either low-code or pro-code to complement the initial no-code approach.

Q3: Retrieve Data is coding

Ans: It depends on the binder (https://dev.joget.org/community/display/DX7/Datalist+Binder) that is being used where some are no-code and some are not, hence will need to depend on the requirements.
