Q1: There is simple function that still did not support as default like multi dependencies parameter.

Ans: There is a plugin for multiple dependencies where you can check it out on the Joget Knowledge Base at https://dev.joget.org/community/display/DX7/Filter+SelectBox+Options+from+Multiple+Dependency+Fields. As always, Joget allows flexibility to extend features as required via scripting or plugins.

Q2: For API sometimes i struggle to solve the issue like it is not giving proper response message on what is actually wrong (As an example when duplicate the application, whole project is copied same goes to API ID and API Key, then without proper error message the existing project stop working without showing and capturing proper error message. Second example when you passed not correct parameter also it is return fail without telling proper message) .

Ans: The errors should be captured in the logs. Some plugins (e.g. the JSON tool) has a Debug Mode which you can enable to show more debugging information.

Q3: Sometime slowness issue come I don't know how to check what is the root cause.

Ans: We would suggest you to make use of the APM (Application Performance Management) features where you can check out the details on one of our blog posts at https://blog.joget.org/2019/01/application-performance-management.html.

Q4: For debugging process it is still difficult for me.

Q5: Datatype created in the table also is in string. We cannot specify the exact data type.

Ans: Database columns can be changed directly in the database as required. The only caveat is that the app design must take that into consideration e.g. does not attempt to store text into a numeric column.

Q1: Read only field option will not save the values into database

Ans: That is by design as it would not be called read-only otherwise :)

Q2: Select Box & Multiple Select Box can only retrieve one dependency.

Ans: There is a plugin for multiple dependencies at https://dev.joget.org/community/display/DX7/Filter+SelectBox+Options+from+Multiple+Dependency+Fields. As always, Joget allows flexibility to extend features as required via scripting or plugins.

Q3: Missing Thousand Separator format.

Ans: It depends on the formatter used where you can check out the details at https://dev.joget.org/community/display/DX7/Column+Formatter.

Q4: Filtering for Form/List/Excel Grid.

Ans: The form grids are meant for small sets of data. For large lists, we would suggest to use a proper Datalist which supports full filtering, sorting and pagination.

Q5: Custom Button, need to be done by JavaScript.

Ans: Buttons are automatically created in the form depending on context so they do not need to be manually managed. Custom buttons by definition require custom actions or code, so there will be a degree of code involved. For future versions we will be adding the capability to add additional components (including buttons) to a page.

Q6: Form version not sync with the new version if the new version of app is install, making it hard for a developer who used to have two different Joget server, one is for live the latter is for development.

Ans: It depends on how you setup the deployment pipeline, for example, you can use the built-in Git integration to keep different environments in sync.

Q7: Need to re-evaluate the process/activity if the new users assigned to the groups, which is making it hard as records should be by a lot.

Ans: It depends on the situation, some might want it to automatically reassign and some might not. You can automate by making a call to API in the meantime, check this out for details https://dev.joget.org/community/display/DX7/JSON+API#JSONAPI.

Q8: web/json/monitoring/user/reevaluate - Need to be very, very proficient in JavaScript & HTML DOM manipulation in order to create application with a very high complexity.

Ans: The Joget platform caters for no-code, low-code and pro-code use cases. No-code can do a lot of things, but high complexity applications do require a high degree of complexity, hence there will be a need to delve into either low-code or pro-code to complement the initial no-code approach.

Q9: No custom button for Form/List/Excel grid.

Ans: Custom buttons by definition require custom actions or code, so there will be a degree of code involved.

Q10: Cannot retrieve from server's temporary files, making the users complaining why can't they view it, AS basic input type=file HTML element has the option to allow users to see the files. Advanced: - As the text field cannot be queried such as Select Box, we would like to have a way to query either in JavaScript or in Java in realtime and get the value so that in can be populated. It will also be good if we can use HTML to query into the database.

Ans: HTML and JavaScript is client-side code, to access server-side information you would need to use AJAX e.g. https://dev.joget.org/community/display/DX7/AJAX+Subform.

Q11: Plugin creation is very hard to start, the documentation is not enough. Suggest to add video or maybe a UI just to create and compile plugins.

Ans: Plugins are developed in Java and use standard Java development practices e.g. using Apache Maven, so plugins developers need to be familiar with Java development practices. In the meantime, we will continuously improve the documentation and tutorials.

Q12: Excluding the Advanced one, I find this features listed above to be very basic and necessity in order to develop a good application. I often questioned by others, also by myself, shouldn't it be like this from the beginning? I'm involved in creating the front-end of Epicor ERP U.I, and the logics are very much complex. If this issue is addressed, it would be much, much easier for us to continue developing using Joget, and would simply be the best low-code/no-code software. For the button, I suggest you add the ability to create a workflow based on the button, so that we can have as much button as possible without disrupting the original workflow's button.
