Jitsi makes it extremely easy to quickly set up a video meeting and invite people to a call. It's also open source and built on open source technology which makes it secure and possible to extend with plugins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jitsi is not a single project but rather a foundation involving a number of different interconnected projects. This can make it daunting for beginners who would prefer a simpler, narrower focus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Jitsi has quickly become my go-to video-sharing platform, and it's easy to see why. This open-source gem has completely transformed how I collaborate with my team and connect with friends and family. In a crowded space of video conferencing tools, Jitsi stands out with its simplicity, versatility, and commitment to user privacy.
What sets Jitsi apart right from the start is its ease of use. No downloads or installations are required, making it incredibly convenient for hosts and participants. With just a few clicks, you're in a virtual meeting room, ready to share ideas, discuss projects, or catch up with loved ones. The user interface is clean and intuitive and doesn't overwhelm you with unnecessary features.
The video and audio quality on Jitsi are superb, even in low-bandwidth situations. The platform seamlessly adjusts to varying network conditions, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted meeting experience. Screen sharing, document collaboration, and chat are all integrated seamlessly, making it an excellent choice for work-related tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jitsi may not have as many advanced features or integrations as some of its competitors. Organizations with very specific needs might find the feature set lacking compared to other video conferencing tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the user friendly nature. And easy to implement it on own server. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It doen't allow many users. When there are many users it crashes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Jitsi Meet is a rarity, a free video-conferencing platform with all the features you’d expect from a paid-for service Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Jitsi sometimes has connectivity and stability issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a really good platform, and clearly very good when it comes to the issue of using it with fewer concerns about privacy and cost than other alternatives. It seems to do the job fine and is as good/bad as any of the other things I have used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
People do not know the name, they don't like using new tools, and it seems that the integrations with other things are (probably necessarily) limited.
The biggest of these is that people do not want to download a new thing on their computer/use something they think might be vulnerable. Ironically, the best thing about this (other than maybe the cost) is that people are worried that it could be very vulnerable to someone breaching security or being spied on by an unknown organisation.
Obviously, if you are the only one using it, it is not going to catch on. And, in particular, for organisations, contracts are signed, change is hard, and especially difficult is that no/most system admins do not know it and so do not want to support it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's free to use and I can easily conduct online meeting and interviews by sharing link. It works on both android and windows so we xan attend meeting from mobile also. I can also share my screen and present the file during meetings. We have implemented it few months back and using this on regular basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For small business it's good to use but we cannot record the meeting and break the rooms for separate meetings. Initial integration with other tools was difficult but i think we can take help from customer support which is highly responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jitsi is open-source software that can be used for online conferences or meetings. Although you can use Jitsi services simply by going to meet.jit.si/ followed by your meeting room name, it has many features just like expensive meeting software like zoom. In fact, it is much easier to use than zoom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is actually nothing to dislike about the services that jitsi has to offer. Hope the background blurring feature gets better with time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jitis is built on open source code and thus any security concerns can easily be identified and patched by community members.
For this reason, open source software like Jitsi is more likely to be secure and trustworthy than an proprietary and closed source option like Zoom Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The free server is sometimes not fast enough to maintain a solid connection during our meetings. This is an occasional problem, but it has occured. More robust connections would ensure a better user experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
