"Highly Flexible, Open-Source Video Conferencing"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I use Jitsi for smooth video calling with my team. I like its customizable features like privacy control and voice control, which add to its flexibility. Jitsi is highly valuable as a free, open-source, and secure video conferencing platform that provides cost efficiency and accessibility without subscription fees. I appreciate that Jitsi offers cross-platform support, which makes it easy to join meetings via a web browser, and I don't need an account to use it. Jitsi's open-source nature and APIs make it highly customizable for developers looking to embed video directly into their applications. It's great that I can integrate it with tools like Slack, Microsoft Office 365, and Google Calendar. The ease of use and user-friendly setup of Jitsi make it really accessible, and I find it very useful that I can use it with different platforms like my React application. "Stable Broadcasting with Easy Setup"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I love using Jitsi for live broadcasting because it is easier and stable. The stability is crucial, especially since the Internet in Uganda isn't very strong. I've found that Jitsi maintains a stable video picture even when the signal is weak, which is really important for me. The setup is incredibly easy; you just connect with the person you want to share or watch with. It's simple compared to other platforms. The picture and sound quality are good too, so I haven't faced any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

The issue is that in Uganda, a few people know about Jitsi, and when sharing the link, people have to struggle to install it. They are not familiar with it. That's the only challenge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Jitsi- Quick and easy meetings"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

Easy to use, with no requirement to create an account. The audio and video quality are good as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

Support for large meetings feels limited, and the platform offers fewer advanced features than I expected. The user interface is fairly basic, which can make the overall experience feel less polished. On top of that, self-hosting is complex and takes extra effort to set up and manage. "Simplicity and Reliability with Room for Growth"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I like Jitsi for its simple and reliable video conferencing capabilities that don't require any complex setup. The browser-based access makes joining meetings quick and hassle-free, saving me a lot of time with no installation or setup required. The audio and video quality is decent, which is crucial for clear communication. I also appreciate its seamless screen sharing, which is especially valuable during reviews and troubleshooting sessions. It's great that it works well even on moderate internet connections, helping my team when working remotely. The simplicity, reliability, and no login required feature really stand out for me, making it a good choice for small teams and quick meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

One challenge I have noticed is its inconsistent behavior during large meetings. As more people join, sometimes we face audio and video quality issues. Also, the UI is very simple compared to the advanced conferencing tools nowadays. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Free, easy, and secure video conferencing tool, with some limitations in stability"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

What I value most about Jitsi Meet is its ease of use: it doesn't require registration or installation to join a meeting, just a link. The audio and video quality is surprisingly good for a free and open-source tool. Additionally, it allows screen sharing, using the internal chat, and has end-to-end encryption, making it ideal for meetings where privacy is important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

The main issue is the occasional instability, especially in meetings with many participants or with E2E encryption enabled, where the audio may cut out. Recording meetings is unreliable without additional setup (Jibri), and technical support is limited due to it being open source, which makes it difficult to resolve issues quickly. "Privacy-Focused, Frictionless Video Calls"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I use Jitsi as my go-to 'anti-corporate' powerhouse because it values privacy and simplification, unlike other platforms. One of the things I love is the 'Zero Friction' aspect, the 'Join-and-Go' vibe that makes connecting super easy. I also appreciate how Jitsi provides the ability to create custom, permanent URLs, which eliminates the need for sending invites every time. This 'Open-Room' concept fosters a 'drop-in' culture and gives a sense of ownership through naming. Jitsi feels like a reliable multi-tool for immediate digital communication needs and transforms remote work into a less lonely experience by turning video calls into virtual physical spaces. Plus, everything just works well without any hiccups, making it an enjoyable experience overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

Setting up Jitsi can either be extremely easy or take an entire weekend, with almost no middle ground. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Quick, Simple Video Calls with Jitsi"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I really like how easy it is to start and join meetings on Jitsi without any complicated setup. The clean interface and good call quality, along with simple screen sharing, make it very convenient for everyday use. Jitsi also lets us start meetings instantly without complex setup, making team coordination and screen sharing fast and efficient. It fits in well with our existing workflow and doesn't require heavy integrations to be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

At times, call quality can be inconsistent on slower networks, and meetings with a larger number of participants can feel less stable. The interface is simple, but a few advanced controls could be more intuitive. Overall these are minor issues and don't significantly impact regular usage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Open Source Flexibility with Setup Challenges"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I like that Jitsi is open source and costs nothing to use. It's great that I can configure almost every part of the audio and video communication without worrying about technical needs. Plus, it's completely deployable on my cloud infrastructure, and I don't need any special kind of hardware or software for it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

The learning curve for Jitsi is quite complex. I have to spend an enormous amount of time understanding how the data sheets work. Also, the setup was complex. Setting up a Docker environment is the simplest method, but using Jitsi without Docker requires configuring servers and installing GCP manually, which is really time-consuming and complex. "Powerful Free Alternative to Paid Platforms"
What do you like best about Jitsi?

I love Jitsi for its speed and performance, especially since it holds up well even when my internet connection is poor. The fact that it's free is a huge plus for me. I also appreciate how well it functions like paid platforms such as Zoom and ClickMeeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Jitsi?

session protection - now it requires setting a password for the conference room, but when all participants leave, the password disappears too, and you have to set it again. In 1:1 sessions, when my customer leaves (because of poor internet connection), I must reload the webpage and set another password to lock access for other users.
