It's a new technology compared to existing tools, so movement from excels to Jedox was a bit painful, but it still results in a great upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Enables us to use live accounting data to forecast and anticpate future requirements and forecast profitability. Enables us to see when we may need extra finance, How to time our forex hedging, reporting actuals against forecast. Enables us to report to and use excel. We have a great facilitator in Barry Gibbs who manages to get everything working in an easy and straightforward way. Very flexible and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The method of expanding from summary to detailed in the reports is clunky. Would be nice if I could select the option to show all detailed rather than having to select each heading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Jedox offers a very user-friendly experience, simplifying budgeting, financial analyis and reporting process effortlessly.

Main drawback is its realiance on a stable internet connection for optimal functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about this software is its smooth and relatively fast implementation. It allowed us to start with the basics and gradually add more functionality as we became comfortable with it. Initially, we implemented it as a reporting tool across multiple subsidiaries, customizing the reporting structure to align with our specific business needs. We were then able to automate the consolidation of our figures in a dedicated group consolidation tool, which offered a more standardized reporting format.
Another standout feature is the user-friendly interface, which our end-users really appreciate. The dashboards and standard reports provide clear insights and make data easy to interpret, which has been a game-changer for our budgeting process. We were able to implement the budgeting module shortly after, helping us streamline planning and reporting. Overall, the software adapts well to different phases of our growth and changing requirements, which is invaluable for our business Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One area that could be improved is tracking changes within the tool, as it’s not as intuitive as it could be, making it harder to see what’s been adjusted and when. Additionally, setting up custom reports and dashboards requires a decent amount of training to get right. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Creation and adaptability to our reporting and forecasting requrements. We've retired a ton of inconsistent reporting databooks and enabled ELT & SLT to proactively review and manage their P&Ls and Forecasts. As a result our team now has free time to analyse and delve into allsorts with the Ops managers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Presenting detailed reports via a browsr not too user friendy when streaming across sites. Could be a fault on our end relying on a report to do it all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
jedox is a platform designed based on OLAP (so called 'Cubes'), which is a common solution for such type of software. Such a common solution helps to understand the main principles of work and modelling relatively fast.
The best features I can state are the following:
0. Clear Structure - web-interface is divided into several sections, which logically distinguish from each other (Modeler, Designer, Integrator, Reports, etc.).
1. Integrator - powerful instrument to (1) set-up connections with other systems (including API) to import/export necessary information; (2) set-up automation to read/write/delete data from the Cubes/Dimensions inside jedox. Also includes a scheduler.
2. Rules - allows to design calculations of differences indices, KPIs in the way you want to see it.
3. Splashing - very useful feature, which allows to change data in the system by simply typing '+10%' and '-1000' to allowed cells. It helps to make high level changes in a seconds, build different scenarios.
4. Excel Ad-In - allows to read/create basic reports using commonly used software of every analytic - MS Excel. Easy to set-up and used, could be very helpful.
5. Marketplace - there are already designed models provided by external vendors and jedox itself, which could be added/purchased to every instance of jedox. Includes free of charge basic models, which could be useful on first steps into jedox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Common difficulties/cons you need to understand at the start of implementation:
1. Requires investing of time into trainings (for administrators, reporters) - such solutions probably could not be simply installed and used 'from the box'. It requires time to spend for trainings/certifications provided by jedox or other partners. The good thing is that jedox academy provides a lot of free of charge videos to make the very first steps into jedox and make offline trainings more effecient.
2. Some elements of interface could be more user-friendly - Rules editor is developing over time but still remains not 100% user friendly; Reports editors is really similar to Excel but functional is limited if compare 2 products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I recently had the opportunity to use Jedox, and I must say, it’s an impressive planning tool that stands out for its capabilities and user-friendliness.
Jedox excels in providing a robust platform for financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. One of its strongest points is its powerful planning functionalities, which are adaptable to various industries and business needs. The software is highly customizable, allowing you to tailor workflows, dashboards, and reports to match your specific requirements.
What I appreciated the most is how easy it is to get started. The intuitive interface and helpful resources made the onboarding process smooth, even for those without extensive technical expertise. Additionally, the integration with tools like Excel and cloud-based services ensures that transitioning to Jedox is seamless and efficient.
I would recommend to any organization looking to enhance its planning processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
