Ease of project input, time sheet entry and time / project reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

cannot change some features, dont understand / cannot change some of the financial data so show what i want. Would like to be able customize access for different users. I dont like having to set up tasks for each project. There should be a main task list we can choose from and assign to projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Intervals:

Very dependent on individual requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about Intervals?

I like the ability our team has to stay organized, while also collaborating on a project and seeing where our project stands, based on time recorded, as well as comments that different users make. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

Our office sometimes struggles with keeping track of all the of tickets and tasks in our system. The user interface is also starting to look dated. I wish the interface felt a little bit more like basecamp. In fact, our office currently uses basecamp as well, but if we could do everything in intervals, we probably would. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

Project Management, User support tickets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Reeve of Intervals

Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate it. Regarding the UI we agree it's dated. We've been making minor updates to the interface since we launched 11 years ago, but times have changed. Our next major release will unveil an entirely new and modernized interface. We're hoping to beta launch our new look soon. If you would like to be part of the beta tester group please email support@myintervals.com to be added to the list.

What do you like best about Intervals?

We can manage projects either based on fixed quotes, or time and materials open-ended projects.

It helps us relate easch task and the time taken for it, to the eventual billing, so we can apply intelligence to the business and how we run it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

Some of the team find it difficult to find their way round in there. Certain views of a project cannot be created, and so some of the data that is put in becomes hard to access or visualise in a usable form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Intervals:

Its comprehensive, but not always user friendly. Copes well with projects both quoted and ongoing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

Relate individual activities to billing.

Monitor billed hours, who carries them out.

Report on projct status and billing.

A joined up approach right through from allocating the work, to understanding its value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Intervals?

What I like best is that it is in the cloud. Now, this is not a differentiator by any means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

I think the entire product is cumbersome to use. It has a steep learning curve that does not fit smaller teams. I think the product was build by developers (without UX experience) for developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

We run a large development shop that include other departments. We were trying to keep track of our time spent on tasks and projects. However, intervals is not very user friendly and has received very little user adoption. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Intervals?

We can access interval from anywhere. We don't have to be in office specially to access Intervals.

We can get report the way we want such as pie chat, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

Time in three decimal.

Sometimes confusing while searching for a particular task on it.

There is no option of assigning a particular team to the Manager.

Do not see much difference in Manager's access& Admin access.

We assign team to the manager. As it doesn't give access to approve timesheet at manager's level but only for Admin level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

Tracking Time for our employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Intervals?

Hierarchical relationships between client, project, and task make it easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

I don't like the timesheet format...wish I could pick my tasks at the beginning of the week and keep assigning time to them throughout the week (maybe I'm using the wrong style of timesheet). Also would like the relationship of estimates to actuals to be more clear...the estimates I enter when I create the project don't do anything that I know of. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Intervals:

Overall, I think Intervals is a great solution for time-tracking and overall project management. There are fancier products out there, but this does the basics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

I wasn't involved with the purchase of Intervals and came on board when it was pretty ingrained. Our needs are primarily around billable time tracking and project progress. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Intervals?

I love Intervals because it is easy to use.

I can save in one place all the activities of my day.

At the end of the month it helps me figure out what to charge the customer and has excellent tools to verify my income. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

I don't like that Intervals does not notify me if someone edit my time. I also send an email to intervals team but they have not implemented yet the feature.

The request queue sometimes does not work correctly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Intervals:

Very easy to use, intuitive! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use intervals in major way to tracking time of the people and in minor time to make Project Management.

We solved the problem of customer care with the creation of the task from Request queue.

We use reports Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Intervals?

I liked how simple it was to add new projects and keep them organized. The program was generally pretty intuitive, and with such a high turnover rate in the staff, it made it easy for new people to jump on board without much background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

I think that this may have been an internal error, but I feel we underutilized the billing feature of Intervals, only focusing on the hour-logging and reporting aspects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

Trying to get a student-run agency organized. I think that this is a great entry-level time-logging program. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Intervals?

Difficult to learn how to set up and to efficiently manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Intervals:

If you are looking to fully integrate with Quickbooks, this is not the right app for you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Intervals solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are attempting to manage virtual projects from a variety of locations, with a variety of needs. We know that the system can be efficient, if the manager sets up the nomenclature and hierarchy of participants correctly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Reeve of Intervals

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We wanted to let you know our next major release will unveil an entirely new and modernized interface. One of our goals is to improve the learning curve during account setup.

We'd love to hear more of your thoughts on full integration with QuickBooks. We currently have the ability to copy invoices to QuickBooks Online, but were open to ideas on how we can do more. Feel free to reach out to us at support@myintervals.com
