Integration App Overview

What is Integration App?

Integration.app presents the Universal Integration Layer: the turnkey solution for scaling your customer-facing integrations with any SaaS app, any use case. We’ve built on the strengths of previous generations by combining the standardization and turnkey nature of Unified APIs with the ease and scalability of more customized Embedded iPaaS solutions. Unlike IpaaS platforms or unified APIs, Integration.app operates at a lower level of infrastructure, giving developers multiple building blocks to assemble any kind of customer-facing integration with full flexibility and control. The platform eliminates the traditional blockers of these approaches, such as rigid, static data sets and the need to build multiple integrations one at a time. You can choose to integrate any of our 3000+ connectors across various SaaS categories (CRMs, task management, accounting, etc.) or build your own custom connector for any app with an OpenAPI spec using LLM-powered features for scraping API docs and mapping data.

Product Description

Backed by investors behind UiPath and Revolut, Integration.app is a next generation integration platform. Using unique AI-powered architecture, the product automates building customer-facing integrations for SaaS products to help product/engineering teams save months of development time & resources. Integration.app will map APIs and UIs customers want to use across multiple applications to app-specific data models and API calls. For users who want integrations to work for their unique application setup (using pre-built UI or white-labelled UI) , it offers an easy and scalable way to customise multiple integrations at once.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

- Flexibility: you can inject custom code or modify any part of our stack to fit your use case so not restricted to a specific model like Unified APIs for example.

- AI: use our features to generate integrations across multiple categories of apps at once or to create a connector for any SaaS app with an API in 30 mins or less.

- End-to-end integrations: build logic, apply it across multiple apps at once, add UI components with 1-line of code

- Fastest-growing connector library: we built connectors very fast (e.g. Slack, Salesforce) using our own proprietary model that uses LLMs to build connectors

What do you like best about Integration App?

If you need anything more than a basic barebone integration(and who doesn't?) you need Integration.app's team!

We needed to quickly connect two integrations not offered out-of-the-box on any platform, including Integration.app. We've reached out to the Integration.app's team and they kindly offered to build the integration for us for a small fee. The feedback loop was extremely fast thanks to the slack channel with tens of messages flying back and forth each week. Whenever we've found a bug it was investigated within 24 hours and the engineers were extremely helpful to us.

Working with Integration.app allowed us to have a standardised input into our system which is now integration-agnostic thanks to Integration.app doing the heavy lifting for us. Would recommend! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Integration App?

Be sure to think about the edge cases before kicking off the work. Integrations are a complex subject and whatever you won't include in the scope will delay your work later. Be sure to prepare the test environment covering all of the edge cases and test each of the integration's releases against it.

Also be sure to outline the expected JSON responses from the Integration.app beforehand. There's a nice cursor-based pagination available but you need to either find it in the UI or ask the Integration.app's team for that.

The UI itself is a bit complex. Thanks to that sky is the limit and if you need something complex you'll most probably be able to do that just fine. However, it takes some time to get used to field mapping UI and pagination settings. There's no saving button/confirmation anywhere so you have to be precise about the changes you make. I'd advise having a separate test environment for your experiments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Integration App solving and how is that benefiting you?

Thanks to the Integration.app we could roll-out new integrations much quicker than we would ever be able to if built in house. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Integration App?

The guys did an outstanding job just across the board, from any of the conversations we've had, the design of the product and our interactions with them.

It's an integration product built by developers, for developers. The others that I saw in Vue, were not for me, it's a lot of diagrams flows, but if I want to touch it via API or interact with it somehow, as a developer, almost impossible. Integration.app really stands out. It's exactly what I was hoping to find and we're very, very happy with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Integration App?

Nothing for now, we’re very happy with it from product experience to support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Integration App solving and how is that benefiting you?

We’ve started with out first immediate need on CRMs. The use case is about setting up two-way data synchronization between our products and HubSpot and Salesforce. Specifically:

- Enriching contact data in the CRMs by pulling additional data from the customer's application and external services.

- Allowing customers to map fields between their application's data schema and the CRM fields, including handling custom fields.

- Enabling initial import of all existing contacts from the CRMs into the customer's app.

- Continuously syncing new/updated contacts from the CRMs to the customer's app and vice versa in real-time.

- Providing a UI for customers to configure the field mappings and setup the data flows.

Everything was pretty easy to implement and we got a proof of concept up and running in a few hours of engineering work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Integration App?

The ability to scale and handle multiple integrations across a multi-tenated environment is a huge need of ours. In addition to having a great way of managing universal data models to handle different kinds of similar integrations, the ability to customize based on the uniqueness is very important. The customer service has been incredible thus far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Integration App?

Nothing at this poin has caused any significant issues. The biggest issue was a minor redirect on the interface that has been identified and addressed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Integration App solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have a challenge to integrate many different applications in a multi-tenanted environment. Rolling our own solution would take a massive amount of time and resources. Integration.app is solving this for us affordably Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Integration App?

From the beginning, the team was available to us; they helped us to understand the platform, optimize our use, and extend what they didn't have yet. Certainly, the support would be one of their great strengths.

Also, their resources, including SDKs and documentation for each connector or the platform itself, are of high quality, and we always get to do what we set out to do. It is really easy for us to integrate into our projects; we didn't take more than a week for the implementation, and we're always able to extend it via their visual platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Integration App?

Although this is something they will modify over time, as they are always taking our constructive feedback and applying it to their platform, it is true that for now, the UX is not as intuitive as we would like it to be, and sometimes we need extra help to find things. Something that can be easily improved and they are working on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Integration App solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a product in the headless ecosystem, it is always necessary to provide our customers with an extensive number of integrations with other headless platforms to facilitate use and improve user satisfaction.

In order to develop as much as we would like, we needed a system or platform that would streamline our connection with third parties so that we could focus on functionality and not have to learn in-depth every one that appeared on our list of possible integrations. For this, Integration.app has been a game changer! Now, we are able to focus on developing the best apps we can, and Integration.app helps us connect easily, access the data securely and store the data where we want. What do you like best about Integration App?

There's a lot to like:

-- Philosophy --

The website claims that integration.app is infinitely flexible and allows you to integrate with any system that provides an API.

After using the product and examining its constructs, I can safely say it lives up to its claim.

I haven't seen any other integration platform with this much flexibility.

-- Product --

The product has the following constructs: Connectors, Data Sources, Field Mappings, App Schemas, Data Link tables, Actions and Flows.

Basically, you define your application's schemas under App Schemas and then configure the remaining constructs to apply necessary transformations and mappings to them. You can also modify the constructs of the same integration at a customer-level if required, which is awesome.

These constructs are well-designed and intuitive! After exploring the different constructs, I figured out how to use them within a few hours.

In the places where I got stuck, I could find my way through the documentation, and for further help and clarification, the team helped promptly via Slack.

Being a young company, the product is constantly improving in layout and features. There are a few UI bugs here and there, but I haven't encountered any bugs in the integrations running in production.

Now, given the immense flexibility, one might think that building integrations would be very time-consuming.

I was surprised by how many ready-to-use "templates" and pre-built connectors are available for each kind of integration. The best part is that you can quickly modify them to your needs via the UI or code if required.

Also, for transformations that are more complex to be possible via any UI element, code blocks are available in the connector logic that allows you to directly modify the request and response of any API via Javascript.

My use case was building out accounting integrations for the top 3 accounting tools. Within the first week, I figured out how things worked and how to integrate this platform with my own application.

After that, building out the integrations for the different accounting tools was a breeze. For one of the accounting tools, it was as simple as adding a connector and adding it to the actions that I needed, which literally took only around 15-20 minutes.

-- Security --

They're SOC2 certified, so that's good enough for most, including me. Additionally, if really required, they support on-premise deployments so you can truly keep your data with you. I'm sure it comes at an increased cost, but hey, having the option to do so is great.

-- Documentation --

The documentation is pretty good. It gives you a good understanding of the different constructs. I used the documentation sparingly since the UI itself was pretty intuitive.

-- Team & Support --

The team is excellent and friendly. Communication is via a Slack channel and I get almost all of my queries answered within a few minutes to an hour. Because of time-zone differences, some questions take a bit more time to answer, but that's acceptable.

The team considers all bug and feature requests and is receptive to customer feedback.

-- Pricing --

I couldn't have asked for better pricing. They have different pricing models—by connector or by customer. This should be flexible enough for any use case.

From what I've seen, the product seems to be priced attractively compared to Unified API products and other IPAAS providers. Couple that with the fact that you can build almost any integration quickly, and it's a no-brainer.

All in all, it is an excellent product with a great team and a great price. I've enjoyed using the product and working with the team and will continue to do so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Integration App?

There's not a lot to dislike. Most of my "negatives" (if you can even call them that) are attributed to it being a young company.

Being a young platform, some features are missing, but most are already in the pipeline, and the team ships quickly.

Mostly, you'll just need to get used to the moderately frequent UI changes. So, once in a while, you'll need to explore the UI to understand new layouts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Integration App solving and how is that benefiting you?

My application requires a unified schema for Accounting, CRM, and HRIS tools, and that's when I started searching for integration platforms to do this.

I'd explored Unified API tools, but none of them supported all the fields that my schema required. Also, adding these missing fields by ourselves wasn't possible in such tools.

I'd then explored IPaaS tools such as Cyclr, but even they didn't allow us to build connectors to certain tools by ourselves. We would have been dependant on the Cyclr team. Additionally, the pricing was too high.

Integration.app is built in a self-serve way for you to build out your integrations, and it tries to make it easier and faster at every step of the way. For eg. the intuitive UI elements, the pre-built connectors, the readily available Action and Flow templates that are easily modifiable etc. all help with building integrations exactly to my specification and quickly.

So now, all of my 3rd party API integrations to Accounting, CRM and HRIS tools are managed on Integration.app and my application is integrated with it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
