First I like the layout.
Then I like that I can creat my own Piplines with Activity-Sets, to manage processes across team. I'm the only one in my section, so I need the help of my collegues to accomplish my missions.
Then, also very important, I like the support insightly is offering. A direct and uncomplicated contact, fast and helfpful responses in a polite and likeable mannner.
It's seems that the insightly team has a strong willing to improve his product, and they are always very close to her clients. So they know what Customer Relationship is, they are living it so this points to a promising product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like the auto-save, respectively auto-creation of organizations or contacts even so every stored mail is attached with my own name and my company name.
I do not like the notifications solution of insightly. Either your settings generates no notifications or you get 3 notifications for the same action. Also i get notifications for my own actions.....
Then I think the program should work more fluently. The operating should be more compact for users. It does creat to much unneeded datas and provokes incomplet data processing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Pretty easy to navigate around the interface. Support is fast with responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is marketed to small businesses (hence the low price point) but there are still features that require more technical expertise to set up, like email configuration. The major issue is if you don't set it up, 50% of your emails will go to Junk.
Also some features missing that I wish were there -- insert fields other than name into an email (like company name), the tracking of email link clicks did not work, and the web to lead form can only have 1 version, doesn't offer Required fields (although I do think there is a workaround here...I don't have time/resources to code this addition). Insightly has the advantage of not being focused exclusively on direct sales, and more generally on business relationship management. It is designed from the ground up to be intuitive and convenient. The tagging system and the ability to map the relationships between contacts (e.g., Contact A was referred by Contact B) is particularly helpful. The integration with Google Apps is also strong. Insightly still lacks some important features. Some of these include auto-completing contact information based on LinkedIn, notes, email signatures and so forth. The integration with social media sites is also rather lacking, and so are a number of marketing features that are offered by competitors with a similar price point (e.g. AgileCRM). I like how Insightly knows what it is great for, workflow, project, and contact management. Insightly integrates seamlessly with other programs such as Google for work, Mailchimp, and many others. The feature that stores email sent through Google to my Insightly account contacts is priceless.
Insightly is easy to navigate and quick to use, that is why I compare it to a sports car. Some CRMs (mac trucks) hold heftier functionality with finance and inventory but they are difficult to learn and clunky to operate.
Insightly is always adding new features to make it even more user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish that the integration with Quickbooks was deeper. You can currently view invoices and clients that are already added into quickbooks but they must be added first. I would love to be able to add clients to quickbooks through Insightly to avoid double entry.
Activity set task items must be manually entered and can not be uploaded through a CSV file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We subscribed to Insightly on day 1 of our new business as we needed a contact management system that lived in the Google Apps eco-system. The ease of contact migration (from email systems) was a huge first step. Its speed allowed us to review our 'whole of team' contacts and cross reference what accounts we had the best overview and relationships in. We built our Go to market plan based upon those relationships and quickly named target accounts and built out a sales funnel. customizing that funnel was simple, intuitive and custom to our model. As we worked through the pipeline we created and had to build proposals, the link to Google Document Management (Google Drive) was easy and allowed for us to see the proposal as we built it through the CRM and the pipeline steps. We now use it to email campaign, track sales people activity and pipelines and leverage a global sales team to sell around the world in any timezone. Insightly scales and innovates with our business and with our evolving business model. In short we could not live without it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The challenge they have (at times) is the innovate from the 'contact perspective' indicating they value clients who have small client bases or retail client bases. We sell to publicly listed companies and governments and that model demands we look at large accounts plans and larger activities outside of a retail approach. Fortunately they are a very flexible platform for 'work-arounds'. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Automatic social media connections, pricing, simplicity in usage. We were using Salesforce before and it was too bloated for any of our users to enjoy. We only have a couple people involved in Sales, so we needed something that would be good for storing information about our clients and be less about managing a large sales team. Insightly does that well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some customization options that could be better, such as editing filters or customizing views. Sometimes we need to get a quick view of all subscribers in the current month for instance, but we also want to know some of the custom fields for each client. We also don't really care about some things, like addresses, since all of our business is online. So to be able to specifically layout the data we want in each view would be very useful. The ability to sort by date or priority, add comments to an individual task and to assign tasks mid flow if needed to escalate a need to a more appropriate resource. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Lack of chained or sequential tasking when you have a series of interdependant tasks that would be best presented one after another when they are completed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Insightly is a great CRM for a small business. It's much more affordable than alternatives like Pitchbook or Salesforce. It's highly customizable for different businesses. For example, you can design your own sales pipeline that fits your business's standard operating procedures. It's also great for organizing all of your business contacts. By linking those contacts to each pipeline, you can quickly brush up on the background of the company before reaching out to them to continue the sales process. I don't like that you can't switch primary emails. I created my account before I was given my company email. As a result, it still links to my gmail. Consequently, when I link emails to Insightly, I need to manually copy and paste an address in the BCC section when I send out emails. Having it linked to my gmail also linked all my social media sites to my account, which was kind of embarrassing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really appreciate how easy it is the easy integration with email communication of this software. The ability to add contacts in the CRM straight from their email is fantastic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not anything to dislike, as far as I have used this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like the Google Apps integration, Pipelines feature, and activity sets the most. I have tried several CRMs and keep coming back to Insightly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not much to dislike, however I would like better email features and not have have it limited, as far as scheduling them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
