We have a unique community management need and the adapatability of insightly is a great fit. We can build the functionality we need without spending thousands of dollars with a developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It could be becase we have done a lot of configuring, but we run into bugs that the insightly team can't fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Insightly is very user friendly and customizable to fit your specific needs. It also has connectivity features so external forms can be connected to Insightly. Data can also be connected within Insightly, such as connecting contacts and organizations to request and project records. It supports team collaboration and accountability. Overall, it massively improves the efficiency of my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are not many things I dislike about Insightly. One issue is the Actual Close Date does not autofill if the request is closed and marked as Lost/Abandoned. The interface for customizing objects and fields in System Settings could also be more user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The CRM system allows us to manage our prospects quickly and efficiently and track engagement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The on boarding process can be a bit much for new users Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the KanBan view for tracking projects and the ability to pull reports, filter projects, and customize fields for our business needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Wish we could customize more fields in kanban view, assign colors for categorization, priorities, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It does exactly what we need it to do as far as a CRM and we're probably/definitely not even using all the features it has to offer! We have been very impressed with the customer support -- they actually care about their customers and their product, and it shows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are work arounds, but I do wish it worked within LinkedIn a little easier. Programs like LinkedMatch are an easy and cheap fix for that though, so it's not a real complaint. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best thing about Insightly CRM is how well thought out everything is. It's extremly modern which means it's easy to use and everything is very organized and clean. The Insightly CRM also gets updated with things that greatly improve the production value of the CRM. It has everything you are looking for and it's clear the Insightly team wants your business to succeed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside about Insightly CRM is that there are minor glitches in the system. All it takes is for the screen to be refreshed but the minor things can sometimes disrupt the flow of making updates. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Tasks and contact emailing need to be improved Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Contacts are a hot mess! Our org is having a very hard time. We focus on the Org, and we can't email to org emails etc and our contacts weren't done properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is User-friendly and we like the relational connections. Support is Great too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
it has gotten a little expensive as we have added some features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Insightly is definitely cheaper than other CRMs I've previously used. They have CRM basics for teams that are very small or just getting started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Here are the major drawbacks to being on Insightly, and why I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, even small or upcoming businesses with fewer CRM needs:
1. Their support teams have been inconsistent and honestly unhelpful. I've had to fight to have people answer basic questions, and a simple request will take 2-3 emails to get a response.
2. They don't play well with others/do not integrate with any external platforms. This is a huge pain, and even basic email integration back to Insightly is a headache. You cannot easily track activities from your teams, there is no call recording or ability to integrate with a dialer, and if you use a marketing automation platform then you miss out on all marketing clicks, emails, sends etc.
3. Their only solution for solving their integration issue is their new AppConnect platform, and it is difficult to set up for the average user. Even after multiple trainings I am still unable to make changes without consulting their team. The platform is built in JavaScript, and even after looking at Workato documentation and watching multiple videos I still cannot understand their task usage policies. There are hidden fees where if you go over their task limit they automatically shut off all of your "recipes" with very little notice. Feels like a bait and switch and they require payment from you to use a platform you already pay for.
4. Very difficult/impossible without app connect to update one object based on another object being updated. Examples would be updating an account when an opportunity is created. This cannot be done outside of appconnect, and is very difficult to set up when inside of the appconnect platform. In other CRMs this type of workflow is much easier and does not require the purchase of another tool to do a basic CRM function. They have workflow rules, but those only can create other objects and not simply update (i.e. a task is created when an account is updated). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
