I like best about iMovie is the ability it gives you to create a movie step by step. I find it is usher friendly for the person using this for the first time Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I like best about iMovie is that it's ability to help you build something from the beginning to the end and a break it down with the steps what I dislike about iMovie is that it takes up a lot of space on my phone if there was a way I could just have a cloud to upload to wear. It doesn't take up space on my phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
iMovie is a great product. It is very user-friendly, makes video editing simple, and always provides a good end product for me. Making trailers is made simple with their software, and splicing videos together for marketing purposes is actually a very fun process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I may dislike about iMovie is that I cannot change how a video is viewed if I shot the footage with my phone vertically rather than horizontally. That's also partially my fault for not filming all my footage in the same way, but it would be so nice to be able to crop the footage easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Among the video editing editing, iMovie is about as user-friendly as it gets. You can create a nice-looking video quickly, easily, and wihtout much skill and background knowledge. Tutorials are good within iMovie, and there are plenty more on the web. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
If you want to do anything advanced, iMovie will feel limiting. There aren't too many advanced features, and it doesn't give you a lot of controls for changing features and settings. Many videos made in iMovie will look like they were made in iMovie, at least to anyone who knows what they are looking at. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

iMovie is the most straightforward, intuitive video editor we use at our organization. It's easily accessible and already installed on our team's MacBooks, and we can easily share files and collaborate. For people who are newer to editing, it's a great tool to learn the basics. iMovie can be a little rigid. It would be nice to have a more fluid experience when adding text or graphics--we often need to move text overlays around and cannot do so with the standard iMovie templates. This creates more work for us because we must create overlays with other products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Its easy to figure out and there's enough documentation or resources online to find answers on how to make something happen if you don't intuitively know. The best part is that its already on my machine and can be used almost with no training—its easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There could be some more hints or menu items to know exactly where something is—often times you need to hunt for it or go to YouTube—but generally it comes with so much already packed in, its a full suite for simple, professional editing without too much complication. iMovie is a tool that came installed on my Mac, and at first, I was skeptical that it could manage the volume of video I needed to process. It does everything I need and more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some of the tooling is challenging to understand. When I place an image in as an overlay, there is always a crop sizing tool that's in place that takes a picture and makes it smaller over the timeline. There doesn't seem to be a way of changing this default. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love the simplicity of the whole program. It is amicable for beginners and experts alike. I love that it is a lite (in relation to the competition) app that can be run on your desktop, laptop or even on your iPad or mobile device. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a lack of features compared to more professional editing software like adobe premiere pro or FinalCut. But as the old saying goes, beggars can't be choosers, and if you cannot afford the others, iMovie can still produce great content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One of the things i like best about iMovie is its user-friendly interface. Apple has done excellent job of designing a video editing software that is intutive and easy to navigate, making it accessible for both beginners and more experienced users. Additionally, iMovie seamlessly integrates with other apple devices amd services . If you are using iphone or ipad to capture footage , you can easily transfer it to mac and continue editing in iMovie
Another best feature that i liked is its extensive library of pre-built templates and themes. These templates provides a quick and effortless way to add professional -looking titles , transitions and effects to your videos Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The thing which i most dislike about iMovie is its availability exclusively on apple devices. iMovie is only compatible with mac computers which means users with windows and Android devices are unable to access and utilizes this software.
Another thing which i dislike about iMovie is its limited range of advanced editing features. While it strikes a good balance between simplicity and functionality. More experienced users may find ths software lacking in terms of advanced capabilities. iMovie does not offer as many options for precise control over audio , visual effects or advanced color grading Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's straightforward and simple to use, so for those who'd like to make some edits without feeling like their skills aren't quite that of a video editor, imovie let's you do everything needed to trim, split, add audio and effects and title screens without it being too overly complicated. It can appear quite basic at times so some actions do require quite a few cuts and snips to be able to rearrange correctly or trim down a clip to how you need it to be exactly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

iMovie is intuitive, with controls where you'd expect them to be and shortcuts similar to other video editing programs. The templates and drag-and-drop interface make creating short projects a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
iMovie doesn't always allow the kinds of fine-tuning that more experienced editors might be looking for. There are some limitations to the templated features that can be irritating if you use the program for a long time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
