"Honestly Magic"
5/5
What do you like best about ImageKit?

I can’t even describe our life before image Kit. We’d train our content team to not upload giant files, but that would always get forgotten. Then our site would slow down because it was huge with all of the bloated images.

We installed image Kit, and just had our front end engineers use it to compress all images. Now our site is way faster, and our content team doesn’t have to worry about compressing all of our images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImageKit?

Not much. Most of the things we disliked they were able to fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"We've been using ImageKit for a few months now and have absolutely no complaints"
5/5
What do you like best about ImageKit?

We've been using ImageKit mainly to host and serve images to clients on our native and web applications. Getting set up was farily quick, having our backend upload images and served over the ImageKit CDN was pain free - for a small team this was crucial as compared to integrating with object storage offered by major cloud providers. Invalidating the cache for images after they've been mutated is also a very intuitive experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImageKit?

I honestly have no complaints yet, we've been using the platform for a couple of months now on a relatively small amount of data and a subset of all the available features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Useful, Easy to use, Adaptable"
5/5
What do you like best about ImageKit?

AI enhancement of pictures, options to adapt your photos by adding URL parameters, possibility of photo creation with a prompt, CDN caching, easy to use, to learn and to implement. The support is helpful. The tool can manage bulk operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImageKit?

Still some work to be done for their Picker (filtering, alert messages could be shown in outside Apps) if they want to be used by Tech Consultants for External Platforms integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really appreciate how easy and straightforward ImageKit is to use. It’s intuitive, and the speed of optimization is impressive. It’s been a huge help in managing images for my projects without any hassle. The results are always high-quality, which is exactly what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImageKit?

There’s not much to dislike. It’s been a smooth experience overall, though I wouldn’t mind seeing a few more advanced (image edit) features in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to integrate, fast to use, and simplifies code"
5/5
What do you like best about ImageKit?

"What stands out to me about ImageKit is its seamless integration, lightning-fast performance, and ability to simplify complex image optimization tasks, even at scale. With a library of around 2 million images and handling approximately 93.3 million requests per month, ImageKit ensures high-quality visuals are delivered efficiently. The implementation process is also incredibly easy, thanks to their extensive library of sample sets, which makes getting started a breeze. Additionally, their support team is exceptionally responsive and helpful, ensuring quick resolutions to any issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImageKit?

For 'What do you dislike about ImageKit?' we honestly do not have any concerns or topics to mention. The platform has consistently met our expectations and handled our requirements effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to develop for, Useful features."
5/5
What do you like best about ImageKit?

We are now in our 4th year with ImageKit. At one point in 2021 we had nearly 100,000 product skus, each with a primary image in at minimum 3 sizes. About 25% of the products had more than one image 3x.

The 2 biggest selling points for us were ease of integration and named transforms.

Named transforms:

Internally our images all have suffixes that match a particular size, quality, etc. Our application can easily match that suffixes to a named transformation and have the image available just as we want it.

Ease of integrtion:

Because all transformations are query based, modifying an image is very easy to do. Many other CDNs use pre-extension image name suffixes to control transformations. When coding this requires a little more time to add/update. And at runtime, adds additional login that needs to be preformed, adding microseconds of time on render. What do you dislike about ImageKit?

Their wordpress plugin is extremely simple. Because it just changes out the urls at rendertime, it is difficult to get it to integrate with themes that do more complex changes with images/galleries.

We are in the firearm industry. AI doesnt like firearms, hasnt been trained on firearms, and as such, cannot autotag accurately, cannot center a firearm product accurately. This is not a problem specific to ImageKit's implementstion, but to AI training as a whole where 'taboo' subject matter is ignored. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely easy to use, as flexible or simple as you could possibly need from an image host."
4/5
What do you like best about ImageKit?

The online dashboard and media library management make working with lots of images across multiple elements of our website a breeze. Marketing and designers have almost no necessary onboarding needed to hit the ground running using ImageKit. Ingreation with our site has been seemless and the extensive amount of options present to manipulate images on the fly or at content delivery.

ImageKit has become the backbone image provider of our image-heavy product. Implementation was easy with almost no learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about ImageKit?

URL endpoints are great for tracking, but it would be nice to be able to set which endpoint you wanted a batch of images to go to so when you copy/paste out urls, they're already ready. This is a small quip - obviously this can be setup on the integration side, but would be nice be able to establish before batching.

Only other quip, like others have said, a pricing tier between free and Pro would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
