The fact that I finally have cloud storage at an acceptable cost and with an interface that isn't too hard to understand. (I haven't tried restoring though and still need to add iPhone and iPad as my system is still uploading my first ps backup.)
I had to call customer service and they were able to help me out and even called me back spontaneously with an update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Apple Office package (eg pages) could not be synced and Support told me I had to switch off Apple's iCloud. Luckily I was not really using that, but still it was strange these docs weren't synced (switching off iCloud did the trick though).
Probably it's just me, but I'm still struggling with the difference between an (online) backup vs syncing, vs local backup and it is till not so clear where I have to find to retrieve my documents, but I hope that will come over time.
I'm disappointed though in the time for my first backup (almost 600GB) and that is taking a week non-stop uploading! For a large part this will be because of my slow upload speed, but still... it is slow! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its interface is easy to interact with and also importing data from other platform with single click. It makes backup of server with CLI is really fast and well implemented. Its pricing is also really good compared to AWS and has well integrated object storage options. Its versioning and logs are really well detailed which are helpful in backups and it also provides good upload speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its command line interface execute commands as it intends to and is slower compared to others CLI. Also It does not allow custom encryption on data for backup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It also has office 365 integration which makes workflow simple. It also provides backup reports with analysis and activitiy monitor which is helpful. It's dashboard is well implemented which makes it easy to to manage users with admin console. It has good security features with encryption and provides all the necessary compliances like HIPAA. It has option for auditing logs which helps maintaining data integrity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has good data migration support but the speed of data transfer is slow for migration. It supports V12 data replication but we have to change that in settings which is complex to change otherwise it replicate data in V11. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

IDrive Online Backup is a solid backup solution for home or small business computers. I've been a customer for several years and haven't encountered any issues. During this time, online backups were accessed many times to restore lost files or folders - and each time, the restore was easy and accurate. The IDrive client software is straightforward and easy to set schedules, target destinations (cloud or local) and select drives or folders to include in the backup set. IDrive online backup also supports backing up external drives, which is something not permitted by some of their competitors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Unlike some online backup competitors, IDrive does not include "unlimited" backup storage. They do include "unlimited devices" though, whereas the competitors generally only support one device. This is more marketing than anything else and IDrive includes a generous amount of storage space in their basic plan, so it's not an issue for most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

After my external hard drive recently failed and I lost a decade's worth of photos, it was important to me to find a cloud-based backup service. iDrive is easy and intuitive to use, and I like that I can connect multiple computers/devices to my account. This has given me much more peace of mind! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface feels a little outdated, and it wasn't immediately apparent how to backup an external device to my account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has really good customer support and documentation. Also it is cheaper compared to other object storage platform. It's dashboard is well implemented which makes it simple to use. It has good and fast sync capabilities which allows seamless collaboration. It data versioning helps in recovering data at any point. Also it can be integrated with Google workspace and other workspace platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its file manager is quite complex and search feature is not on point sometimes. Also it does not allows to delete duplicate files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
How easy it was to integrate into our Mac workflow and back up our design files to our Synology DiskStation NAS. The setup was straightforward, and the platform offers automatic daily backups that ensure our critical design work is secure. It’s also great for accessing our backed-up files from anywhere, which is a huge convenience when working across multiple devices. For the cost, it’s a great value and has made data management and protection effortless for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only minor downside I’ve experienced with IDrive is that data migration can be a bit slow, especially for larger backups like those from our DiskStation, but that really comes with the territory in regards to online/offsite backups. It's a minor thing really. Maybe the UI/UX could be tweaked a bit but it's a minor gripe. These are small issues compared to the overall ease of use, cost effectiveness and reliability it provides. Once it's working as it should it works very well and is easy to use. Great variety of backups too. Recommended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Took me a while to realise it doesn't work well with either of the VPNs I have installed. Very strange behaviour until the VPN was disabled. Once it was it's a great backup solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is simple to implement for development projects as it uses object storage which makes it easy to integrate with application. It provides good solution for storing unstructured data and allows to easily manage that. It's on demand restoration features is really fast and helpful to recover data. Its realtime sync is also good as it sync data across all the devices and also take scheduled backups. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It does not offer unlimited storage plan options and also backup versioning data is not accurate some time. In Linux it only offers command line interface which I really dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I switched to iDrive aftrer years with another vendor whose software became unreliable and support was non existent. With iDrive the inital iinstallaion was seemles and was able to start backup for my Macbook Pro immediately. Each moring i get an activity notification ddialog.
My only experience so far with customer support was a business subscription question which was answered promptly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Frankly at this point nothing to dislike. I have been using it a few weeks for regular backup. I will add a second computer this week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
