It is so quick and easy to create Inspection Report masters! Even when a drawing is revised it is quick and easy to update everything. Being able to select Gages for each characteristic from a user defined list is helpful and another time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I really dislike the way Lists such as 'Methods' (Inspection Gages used) have to be updated. Having to update a .csv file, delete all existing entries first, and then Upload the revised .csv file seems laborious and there has to be a better way. Maybe the lists could be maintained and controlled within the software itself but still allow a .csv file to be uploaded if necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ideagen Quality Control allowed me to "automate" several daily activities and streamline tasks that I used to perform manually. From the ease of ballooning a drawing to the exporting of drawing data into my own Excel templates has significantly reduced the amount of time required to create the forms expected of my current role. An even greater benefit can be seen when an update is necessary due to a drawing revision. Although this can very greatly depending on how the drawing was changed during revision, I have had multiple instances where I was able to update forms with no additional manipulation of the balloons or characteristics required. Even if the software was only capable of doing what it does for me currently, it was well worth the investment, but it can do so much more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

In the manner I currently utilize the software, I wish there was a way to edit the #ID or #Char to further reduce the amount of editing I need to do after exporting into Excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For our "high mix - low vloume "job shop, it was critical to get a software that can allow our inspection team to bubble diffeent drawings quickly and accurately, so as not waste time. OUr inspection team learend the software with ease in a matter of days. And our integration was seamless and quick. We use our softare daily and usually multiple hours a day. It turned what was previosuly a very tedious and manual operation into a digital process that is faster, cleaner, and more organized. It changed our inspection process for the best immensly. Our operators have not noted any major dislikes of the software and instead compliment it's ease of use and ability to update to new drawing revisions, etc without needing to redo the entire bubbling process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is easy to balloon drawings and it has been very helpfull to me with doing several similar part numbers and aligning the same items in all drawings to have a more compact and common control plan.

I dislike the flexibility in selecting item numbers, sometimes we had a standard where we used a main item number for example 53, which is a custumer feature, and then use 53.1, 53.2 for process characteristics, but it is not possible to do this. if you group items you loose the original 53 for example.

Also I believe it has a lot of work to do in regards of AI, it is not easy to detect some characteristics but still it extracts some weird things very often and we have to manually add all information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Transferring Notes and Dimensions Information from Drawing to Report made super easy and saves a great deal of time. Ballooning thses makes for as simple was to read and cross reference Reports to Drawings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only issue I ever have with the Inspection Expert is, when transferring Notes from Drawing to Report, sometimes it confuses letters and numbers with other letters, numbers, characters, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing about the Ideagen Quality Control is the Bubble drawing feature. And also extracting the words from the picture is also pretty useful and saves time when you do not need to type all that information from a drawing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

If the picture is not clear, the OCR extraction feature does not work great. The words needs to be very clear for that feature to work properly, or else, we have to waste time to correct all the gramatical errors. Also the numbering sometimes does not follow sequence, if we forget bubble something that we missed. The order of the bubble is hard to change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
