Ideagen CompliSpace Pros and Cons

We use Complispace Assurance very heavily in our organisation for collating data for all kinds of purposes (incident/injury records, professional development requests, management of our buses, staff training, and so on).

I find it to be the most powerful form-builder (with features not found in Microsoft Forms etc.) and it does a great job of managing the data once it's in. Its integration with Power BI is also a massive plus for us - we pull huge amounts of data into that system in order to perform various analyses on it (what kinds of injuries do we see most often? Where are they occurring? How many staff have used PD this year, and what areas of development are most utilised?).

The way users are set up in Assurance is a frustration (full/lite users).

The cost of that platform considering its limitations in the user space can make it difficult to recommend for some businesses. Having workflow elements restricted behind 'full users' really limits how useful the software can be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The services (Complilearn and PolicyConnect) are easy to navigate. As a result, there is low friction when I am assigned courses to complete or policies to read. Also the team has been very easy to work with when it comes to implementing the services. I also appreciate the ease of integration, thanks to the Go1 API which allows us to provision users in advance before they log in with SSO, allowing the compliance officers to assign courses before they start. Occasionally when authenticating, the page attempts to redirect to a non-existent "oauth2/" URL/"site". Also it would be nice to have SSO configured on the Assurance product, but I understand that the product team is already looking at that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Extra 'smarts' can still be added into Assurance for the users to use. For example, 'smarts' on how each field reacts when one or two fields are populated or after using the Risk Matrix the answer is populated into the related fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Support: The assistance provided during the training and launch phases was invaluable; however, subsequent responses to inquiries have been sparse. Additionally, searching for answers often yields a significant amount of unrelated information.

Customer Support: The promise to "reach out" for any questions during system implementation has proven to be unreliable. Assurance and workflows, which can be cumbersome to navigate.

Non-Video Training Content: Relying on extensive written training materials is not optimal for our staff. Enhancing the training experience with high-quality video content would be a significant improvement

Manual Audits - quite suprising that a lot of the audit system is manual (print the audit, complete, manual calculations, manual re-entry of outcomes. It's sometimes difficult to understand the workflow and steps when designing a new custom workflow.

The ability to create unique registers, and multiple registers.

The ability to design forms to suit the organisation and its needs.

The dashboards should be improved with ability to individualise them. This would help with high level reporting.

Some ease of use issues, like moving to the next page has to be done from the top of the page rather than from both the top and bottom.
