There really isn't anything I dislike about Informix, as it has adapted very well to my company's needs, but if there is something that slightly affects its performance, it is that it is single-threaded since it is not capable of taking advantage of multiple processors because it only handles one request at a time. The best thing about informix is its onstat commands to see database stats. This is real quick and gives you output direct from memory. This probably is one of the best utility when you are troubleshooting. Apart from that, setting up replication is super easy.
