Informix is best database for OLTP, Enterprise Replication & High Availability

It is Solid & Stable, Best performance, Minimun administration

It runs without problems with almost all versions of Linux, Unix & Windows (even android)

It is Mulituser, Multiprocesing, Multithreading, Parallel Procesing, MultiServer.

Informix is true 24x7 services.

Informix is true Oriented Object Database

Free Support Groups of Informix (They are friendly and open mind)

Now Informix have new technology like Nosql & Json

What do you dislike about IBM Informix?

When IBM don't see true value of 4GL

Don't exist a unique tool to access to no traditional data like text,blob,spacial,json/bson and others

"Informix- An unbeatable beast"

What do you like best about IBM Informix?

The best thing about informix is its onstat commands to see database stats. This is real quick and gives you output direct from memory. This probably is one of the best utility when you are troubleshooting. Apart from that, setting up replication is super easy. One of the best database i have ever used Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best part of this tool is that it comes from the IBM family, which makes it easy to use, and it has great support from the IT team. I consolidated my three apps' data in one database, and it never failed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about IBM Informix?

Its pricing is what makes it not that popular in the market and because of this sharing of database or hiring people makes it difficult. Creating databse is bit difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Informix look and feel is superb. Onstat's command will give you all the details of database. I have used other databases as well but no one can beat IBM Informix. It's fast, stable and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What i dislike is when it generates Assertion failure we have to log a case to know weather we have been hit by a defect or what could be the cause of this assertion. Although support team responds very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
