What do you like best about hotglue?

hotglue has made data integration a worry-free process for our engineering team – there is no other tool focused on the B2B developer use case. hotglue has cut the time it takes for us to roll out new customer integrations by 90%. What do you dislike about hotglue?

hotglue provides a lot of flexibility which is essential for engineering teams like ours. However, their embeddable widget is somewhat restrictive in what it allows our customers to do (they cannot currently schedule data syncs themselves). This isn't a problem as hotglue's API still allows us to offer this functionality – just a convenience thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering hotglue:

If you're building a SaaS product that deals with importing data from other SaaS platforms (ERPs, CRMs, Billing Systems, etc.) it's definitely worth trying a tool like hotglue. Before we began using hotglue, data integration was a time-consuming process that took our engineers away from working on our core product. What problems is hotglue solving and how is that benefiting you?

The major issue with our prior data integration pipeline was handling complex transformations and relating data across multiple data sources. Since hotglue offers a Python transformation layer our engineering team was able to construct these transformations once and leave it (set it and forget it). This really simplified customer onboarding and enabled us to offer a more self-serve process.

What do you like best about hotglue?

Hotglue’s platform and API connectors have been instrumental in streamlining data flows for HALO. It bridges our client data sources to our APIs effortlessly, eliminating much of the manual setup we’d otherwise need. Setup and initial connections were easy to setup, and the initial configurations and environment have easily scaled as we continue to enhance the product and data pipelines.

I really appreciate the easy access to job logs and how much of the configuration can be managed directly via the interface. At the same time, it empowers our developers to utilize the API and data flows effectively, striking a great balance between accessibility and flexibility. The prebuilt integrations save us significant engineering hours, and their customer support has been responsive and knowledgeable, which is a huge plus when troubleshooting edge cases. While the UI is well-designed and intuitive, managing complex workflows and advanced use cases can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming due to the sheer depth of what Hotglue supports. What do you like best about hotglue?

Hotglue has been a huge help in letting us offer all sorts of integrations for order systems and CRMs, which has really opened the door for us to bring on more diverse types of customers. The way you can plug it into your own software so that the authentication flow works smoothly is great. The support they offer is also great. What do you dislike about hotglue?

For new connectors there can be a few bugs, but they are always quick to aid in resolving these. Due to timezone differences it can sometimes take a while before you get help when issues occur (we are EU-based), but they tend to resolve issues within the same day. What do you like best about hotglue?

HotGlue helped us handle our biggest objection (CRM integration) fast. Our product demands a deep integration with CRM, and all the other platforms we evaluated did not deliver nearly as much flexibility + control compared to HotGlue.

Hotglue continues to exceed my expectations. By using Hotglue, I get to integrate with any constellation of systems that my customers care about. The tech is very reliable and they have the best support of any company I've ever worked with. We get constant inbound from integration vendors and I always tell them I'll never switch away from Hotglue.

We integrate with our customers' accounting systems so that they can use that data strategically & automate their reporting. Without hotglue, we would have to do all the integrations ourselves, and would be limited in terms of who we can sell to. What do you like best about hotglue?

It can be a complicated set of rules to understand, working with multiple integrations, and sometimes things fail in somewhat mysterious ways. The tech and the product are fabulous. Givecloud can consistently expand its compatibility with other tools in the market, making it easier for our customers to make the most of Givecloud within their current operational tech stack.
