I like that you can create both direct-to-camera videos as well as screencasts, and screencasts with your face on screen as well.
You can film, edit and create interactive elements like create buttons and forms that go with your video so that you can collect leads or responses. You can also blur out any elements on the screen for privacy in the editor, which is not only useful but necessary.
You can personalize the video with the receivers in big letters name to catch their attention as well.
You can also import video, which is useful if you filmed on a DSLR or cell phone like I often do.
You can create personalized sales pages as well for each prospect. And then, there are analytics to track your video's performance.
Hippo integrates with other services too, like Gmail and Outlook - you can film a personalized video from inside your email composer. You can also embed the video in your email, so it stands out immediately.
Hippo has lots of integrations with social media platforms like LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, and FB, as well as CRMs, sales software, support software, and productivity software like Slack, Zoom, Zaiper and Trello.
And if you have to answer customers' questions or teach, train or coach anyone on how to do something, you can record your screen and do a demo.
I also use it to train any contractors I hire and Virtual Assistants, and I even use Hippo for the interview process, to either ask folks questions or teach them a skill them have them demonstrate the skill back to me.
Hippo also has an app for cell phones and tablets, which I find super useful when I'm on the go. You can also import videos you filmed on your phone or tablet into Hippo using the app.
And I can use Hippo as a video content management system and host my website videos on Hippo then embed them on my site, or in my online classes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I havent gotten to test every feature yet. The only issue I've run into so far with Hippo is with the app. I've shot some videos, and the app didn't save a couple videos - it's a bug that needs to be fixed. And sometimes, the app has trouble filming in landscape, but support said to just lock your screen orientation to help with that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve been using Hippo Video to record my screen and myself at the same time to show the process guides or instructions for my colleagues. It really cuts down on the back-and-forths and keeps everyone on the same page. Plus, being able to explain things in real-time while showing what I’m doing makes sharing complex stuff so much simpler. Totally recommend it if you need a solid tool for communication and training. sometimes when I recorded the process in real time and showing how it's done and there's no second chance that's the time I got errors and it says my video is corrupted.
But it happened just once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What's Cool About Hippo Video for a Solopreneur Making Content in French & English:
• The teleprompter is a total lifesaver - no more stumbling over words in either language.
• Customizable sales pages mean I can keep my branding on point, no matter the language.
• Video engagement analytics let me see what's working (and what's not) in both language markets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Not-So-Great Bits for This Solo Gig:
• Getting the hang of all the bells and whistles took a minute, especially as English is not my first language.
• More SEO advice for multilingual content would be gold – gotta get seen in both English and French searches.
• Sometimes, the platform feels more geared towards teams, leaving solo players figuring things out on their own. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that as an early adopter I am being upcharged to get any decent access to platform improvements that I invested in at a high level, as a crown fund investor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'm a new user, so please be mindful that I have not even learned the platform's full functionality yet. That said, my first impresion is that HippoVideo has managed to do (very) well what so many others struggle to achieve: finding that "sweet spot" balance between simplicity (i.e. fast/easy onboarding, intuitive UI/UX, etc.) and utility. Far easier said than done, and even rarer to see it done well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Doesn't work with Safari. iPad app has room for improvement, but I don't take for granted that there is one -- I have every reason to be confident this will be improved sooner than later. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most helpful thing about Hippo Video is it's core function recording videos to send to prospects whether its an introduction video with your webcam, a screen recording of your software or website or other presentation, or a combo presentation with your webcam and your desktop recording. Very easy to use very intuitive and there are lots of other features that make using the tool a joy. I especially look forward to using the AI avatars and video personalization to take my account based marketing to the next level. All of this comes with great data analytics and contact management.
