The downside of using Handbid is just the downside of using any online auction platform. People who are not familiar with apps and technology and prefer physical bid sheets are excluded or reluctant to join in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We loved working with the Handbid team, they were so helpful and knowledgable about the product. The software was easy to use from an admin side as well as a user experience. There is not one report that provides all the data needed for internal accounting reports. When patching together data from Handbid, Stripe and internal systems, it would be greatly appreciated to have one comprehensive report that lists auction items, amounts, fees, bidders, bidders' contact info and item name/description. Patching together data is time consuming because I am constantly having to proof in order to ensure internal reports are accurate. For example, there is one report that lists all the components of the address except for the State. I had to extrapolate this data from the invoice report that had listed the full address in one long stream. Auction are data intensive from collecting donations to the usage of an auction platform. Creating one comprehensive report will greatly reduced time and effort on my end. What is frustrating is that I gave this same feedback 2 years ago.
Moreover, there is no proactive customer service. No review 1:1 review of the contract that led to a misunderstanding of deliverables. Emailing the support desk was OK, but not once did anyone reach out to check on my progress or if there were any questions, nothing. There used to be a weekly Zoom call to review the process and tools available in Handbid. That is not even available anymore. This would've helped me to better understand the functions and the why's behind some of the data components vs making assumptions.
Due mostly to the lack of proactive customer service, we will be searching for alternatives for our next auction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The support and instructional videos have been keep to our success. The app is very easy to use and our event guests have been very pleased. It has helped us increase our revenue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing I don't like about Handbid is when I upload a picture for the auction the sizing option cuts off images that are vertical so they fit in the horizontal space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
