What do you like best about Gymdesk?

I love how it's my one-stop shop for billing, attendance tracking, belt/stripe tracking, retail sales, website schedule, prospect communication, email and text blasts to current members - you name it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gymdesk?

Honestly, not much! The few times I'm stumped on where to find something or how to accomplish something, I email the company and always get a personalized, specific response back with helpful information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Gymdesk solving and how is that benefiting you?

No problems at all. Benefits are a very easy to use interface to run our academy and a front-desk interface that we run on an iPad at our front counter. With one of their newest updates, now I love how all my communication with prospects (as well as current members) is tracked on their page. I don't have to go searching through my email now to recall conversations or when our last point of contact was. I also love pulling up a student's rank or date of their last promotion. What do you like best about Gymdesk?

Ease of use and the responsiveness of developers with feedback and suggestions. As we have continued to use the software, we have found some areas which could be better customized for our experience. The help documentation being on a separate page. If it could open up in a pop-up within the program it would be faster and easier. Otherwise we love the program. It is easy to use. intuitive and user friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has helped us follow our metrics more closely with easy and intuitive graphs/charts which show exactly where we stand with conversions of prospects to students. Additionally, it has helped us streamline our online database with our students. They love the ease of use and benefits it has provided them as we have had to move many of our operations online. What do you like best about Gymdesk?

Martial Arts on Rails is perfect for a new martial arts academy. It not only provides a wide array of features to assist in administration, it helps promote industry best-practices and actively improves client service. Eran has been proactively supportive, inquiring several times to ensure that we are getting what we need from the platform and soliciting feedback. The student sign-up process and automated billing were the primary requirements that we had at first. Once we started using Martial Arts on Rails, we started using far more features. The web site builder is amazingly simply and powerful, with all the features you need for a martial arts academy website. The student check-in process is fantastic, and provides us with contact tracing as well as attendance records. We are still discovering more ways to use the features of the platform every week. I've used other software management solutions over the years. Martial Arts on Rails hands down has been the best. It is easy to use, simple to train our staff, and our members love it. It has really help grow my business and simplified the process of signing up new members and communicating with our current members. All the payments are made by cards and I don't need to ask my members to pay, every thing is so smooth ,

Memberships are so complete , you can littéraly edit everything

The schedule is interactive and synching with the booking system

The bookings are made directly by members in their member area

What do you like best about Gymdesk?

Fully featured and highly responsive development team. Has everything you need and more. There was an amazing amount of work and improvements over the past 1 year plus I have been using MAonRails, including booking capabilities to handle the Covid situation. The constant upgrades and professional management of the software are superb. Managing my gym without MAonRails would have been impossible. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gymdesk?

Being fully featured also means it comes with complexity since every feature will have it's own configuration options. Taking the time to read, understand, and set it up can be a challenge for those who are not Ops and IT inclined. Get help to migrate from your existing system if you have to. It will be worth it, but don't think it's a walk in the park. Planning and learning will be necessary. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Gymdesk:

If you want better visibility on your business and your school is fairly large with multiple instructors and student body is above 100, you definitely need this. I've got a friend who is also running a martial arts school, but will not use this because he is fearful of the effects of too much transparency. Reduced customer management with self-help capabilities provided by the MAonRails significantly eases daily mundane tasks like triggering payments and attendance taking.
