Top Rated GoReact Alternatives
I love that I can customize the experience to fit the needs of my course and my students. It's such a wonderful way for students give and recieve feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes I find the menu a bit hard to navigate. Once I've created a few assignments and get back into it, it's easier, but it could be a bit more intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have been using GoReact for over 5 years now. Very intuitive and easy to use; works on any device and across platforms; time-stamped feedback in multiple media (text, video, audio). Customer service is superb and provide assistance for faculty and students; great library of support resources. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing to dislike, really. All features and performance meet our expectations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best feature is the ability to give feedback on assignments in text or video form that is time-coded to the work that was submitted. This allows students to see the feedback or correction at the moment the mistake is made in their assignment. It also allows me to grade and provide feedback that is more complete. If I were to grade in-person in real-time, important things can be missed. Students can also view the feedback more than once -- a feature not available when giving feedback in class.
The system is also relatively easy to use on both the instructor and student sides. I was the only faculty member in my department using GoReact when the pandemic hit and classes moved to remote delivery. I was able to quickly teach my sign language faculty how to connect their Canvas courses with GoReact, set up assignment, and record feedback. We connect our Canvas courses with GoReact so students only need to use one platform to submit their assignments. The grades I give them automatically populate to Canvas which is very convenient. There isn't much to dislike about this product. GoReact was really good when they started, and they've only continued to improve.
I don't care for the cost of this product. Our textbook is already expensive and requiring an additional $30 access code can be a barrier for students. I wish our book could be bundled with the code -- some textbooks are. I'd like to see more of an effort from GoReact to establish these connections with textbook publishers. Great way to evaluate students' signing skills! Able to provide feedback via text or signs; Can add rubrics to GoReact assignments; Can pause/go back to review/make comments at anytime, not just at the end Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some students are not experienced with GoReact and need guidelines or training to help along the way; sometimes videos are blurry or not clear and makes it difficult to view; can't revise the rubric if copied from another area Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use is my favorite thing about GoReact from an instructor perspective. When I unrolled it, I worried students would struggle to use the software as I was piloting it in an asynchronous online class. But the product is incredibly intuitive and after using it for multiple semesters, very few students even email with questions! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only potential downside is that sometimes students are resistant to using a software they haven't seen before. Again, though, once they start using it, they find it very simple. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Great tool for my students to use. I have easy access to assess their signing skills and give feedback. I also like the availability of the recording app, for those with weak internet. Being able to give feedback either video or written at the exact moment of their error or success, is very helpful. I have had students give me feedback that they really appreciate that. I can use it with my Universities server, Canvas. I am able to keep track of all the different sections I have. It also 'stores' my classes from before, so if a student has a question or issue, I have the video and feedback to refer back to. I love the multiple camera option. This has been a game changer for me, in terms of assessing their partner skills. This is a large component of ASL. I do not have the time to individually partner with each student to assess skills, so I can require this partner work to do that for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish that the recording app could do the multiple camera option. I have some students that do not have strong internet, so use it for their recording, but can not for their partner work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Ability to provide specific and detailed feedback time coded to points in students' videos. Use of personalised marker sets for quick feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Really nothing I can think of. It is the first tool of its kind I have used and I found it extremely easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Being able to give feedback in real-time is an excellent teaching tool. It also allows student self-evaluation, which is very beneficial pedagogiccally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sound quality is often poor. As a music instructor having good, clean sound is paramount. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that while I am observing one of my teacher candidates I can provide written or video feedback. The recording pauses and the teacher candidate can see/watch my feedback where it matches their teaching. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be hard to hear all of the students and see what is happening in the class depending on the angle of the camera. Maybe a tutorial on how to maximize your recording space could be helpful for users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
